The penultimate Second Amendment post

Have snacks, smokes and beverages at hand before you read this. You might want to go to the can as well...this is going to take a while.

The Smallest Minority Second Amendment Uberpost From Hell

I would do just about anything to see Kevin debate Mike Church on this issue. That would be a discussion that would set historical precedent for the next ten millenia.

The racism of gun control...

...as exposed by Rush Limbaugh.

Now, I have my disagreements with Rush, but truth is where you find it.

I think I just laughed up my spleen

The "Journolist" scandal, breaking on Breitbart.com as we speak, has inspired some incredibly funny stuff from a new addition to my blogroll--Iowahawk.

Warning: Harsh language, probably NSFW...especially if your job involves the LameStream Media.

The Journolist Chat Room

Repent, the end is nigh!

I don't believe it. Apparently, the FedGov actually legalized something cool and didn't get hung up on technicalities.

Now, if only they'd do that in regards to the Gulf. Or life in general. When the hell did we start taking it for granted that some government agency has any right to tell us what to do?

It's all true!

Cat Physics explained.

For those of you who've never had a feline companion, and can't understand why any of this would endear them to us...well, it's like the old saying about Harley-Davidsons: "For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who don't, no explanation is possible."

Ten minutes.

Not too long at all, really.

Ten minutes is just a little more time than it takes to smoke a cigarette. Less time than it takes to drive down to the local fast food joint to pick up a quick dinner. One-third of the time it takes to watch another formulaic, unfunny sitcom, including commercials. One minute more than your average snooze button lasts. Definitely less time than it takes to get the cat in the car for a trip to the vet.

In the grand scheme of your life, ten minutes is nothing.

So, take ten minutes and watch this.

Then make it viral. Please.

OK, this DOES call for a funky end zone dance

By a 5-4 decision, the Second Amendment is finally recognized across the board as an individual right. WOO HOO!

The right to keep and bear arms (RKBA) is recognized as a "fundamental right," which places it on par with freedom of speech and freedom of religion, among others.

Well, no duh. I've only been telling people this since about five seconds after I learned what the Constitution was. I had no idea how much I'd been stressing over this ruling until I heard the news today. To quote a favorite author of mine, "It was as though a great express train had been lifted from my testicles."

I'm celebrating both this decision and Independence Day by ordering four more magazines for my carry piece. At least our Supreme Court remains the sole guardian of our Constitution...

...for now.

"She's just too...!!"

...inexperienced? ...polarizing? ...myopic?

Name your pejorative, the Sarahcuda's been the subject of it. And it's all a bunch of Leftist lies.

C4P fisks the usual arguments of the Left here. Anyone who wants to whine at me about Sarah's fitness for the White House would do well to read this first. Original arguments are welcome, but if you come to the table with stuff that's easily debunked by simple fact-checking, you fail at life and will be summarily killed, processed and fed to my cats.

How have I not heard of this before?

Doctor Zero now graces my blogroll. Hellz, yeah!

Brilliantly encapsulated!

A commenter on Gay Patriot by the name of American Elephant has put the whole "fascist" concept in plain English. All you Leftists might want to give this a read.

Understanding why so-called “progressives” even use “Fascist” as an epithet to begin with is key to understanding them. The American left ADORED the Fascist and Nazi movements in the beginning, with the New York Times praising them.

There are 4 elements that define Fascism:

1. Dictatorial government
2. Government control of industry
3. Repression of all opposition, and
4. Nationalism (as opposed to Communism which is an international movement)

Replace nationalism with environmentalism, and you have a perfect description of the Obama regime, the Democrat party and the American left as it is today. Regressives not only enthusiastically approve of 1-3, but they and they justify it by wrongly blaming the crimes of Fascism and Naziism on nationalism instead of on the dictatorial mentality that they have a right to control others, a right to seize industry, and a right to oppress people who disagree if they thing they are acting for “the greater good”.

The only thing the Nazis and Mussolini did wrong, they rationalize, was to be too nationalistic. If only they had been more international, or ENVIRONMENTAL, then their dictatorial tendencies would not have led to the slaughter of millions, but instead to daisies, unicorns, and totalitarian heaven on Earth.

In other words, the left thinks it isn’t the desire to control everyone that makes Fascists bad — since they share that desire — but that they loved their country too much.

And so they loathe America, and loathe anyone who thinks America is any better than any other country, and they keep right on trying to control everything everyone else does, says, thinks, etc.

They think conservatives, who want power taken away from government and returned to the individual are the threat even as they seize control over people’s very own health decisions, seize industry after industry, and try to prevent the industries they are seizing from having free speech to fight them — not to mention as Obama and the Democrats are trying to figure out if the so-called “fairness doctrine” or “local control” boards, or “minority ownership” laws are the best way to eliminate conservative speech on radio and cable. As their own dictator violates the Constitution time and time again to seize industry, shakedown industry and demand that industries give up their rights and do things Obama’s way.

Sorry, lefties, you ARE the closest thing America has to Fascism. And in light of the violence and force Obama’s union thugs have already perpetrated — I’d say dangerously close.

All in the name of the environment, instead of in the name of a country.

Exactly. Before you socialists start screaming about 'fascists,' bear in mind that 'Nazi' is shorthand for the National Socialist German Workers' Party. And yes, you have far more in common with them than you think.

O. M. G.

Um...HOLY CRAP. This was 'leaked' by Jon Voight on Hannity today, so I did a search just for giggles.

Obama admits "I am still a Muslim" to Egyptian Foreign Minister.

Now, this might not be true. Perhaps this meeting never took place. Perhaps the Minister was talking trash to propagandize his people. Since there seems to be no actual record of this meeting, it boils down to he-said-she-said.

But if it is true, then we do, indeed, have a stealth jihadist in the White House. Which means, to say the least, that we are in dire peril.

I thought it was just a Black Helicopter theory. It can't be real...can it?

The ongoing economic recovery

Chrissy-the-Hyphenated, a wonderfully talented BuzzGal, submits this video to a candid world.

Let me try to put it into perspective another way: We pick up the Arizona Republic Sunday edition, mainly for the comics and the coupons. Do note that the AR covers the entire 'Valley' area, a metroplex encompassing roughly four million people.

Last week, I pulled out the Employment section. It was one single sheet of newsprint(four pages). Of that sheet, the first page was devoted to articles along the lines of "My boss doesn't like my eyeball piercing and magenta mohawk, can I sue?" and "How do I get a six-figure job with my Ugandan Studies degree?"

The second page was more than halfway taken up with space-filler "advertise with CareerBuilder and get a job in Ugandan Studies" ads.

The third and fourth pages were along the same lines.

So, in the Employment section of the major newspaper of an area containing four million people, you have about 1.5 pages of actual employment offers. When you weed out the obvious "work from home and make ten million dollars a minute" and "be your own boss in your new action-packed career driving the big rigs" ads...it doesn't take an enormous amount of thought to arrive at the conclusion that the touted 'recovery' is about as real as Pamela Anderson's chest.

Sorry, Obamanoids. I may not be 'Haah-vaahd-educated,' but I do know how to read.

RIP, Clarence Wolf Guts.

"Who?"

Clarence Wolf Guts was a CodeTalker. Specifically, the last Lakota CodeTalker.

We all know about the Navajo CodeTalkers, who were the most prevalent in WWII, but other tribes lent their skills in that regard, including the Lakota Sioux. I have a special regard for that tribe, since they make up a great part of my wife's ancestry.

Given every outrage that America perpetrated on the Native people, it's absolutely astounding how many of them are patriotic Americans to the core. Attend any pow-wow, and you're guaranteed to see nothing but absolute respect and admiration for veterans in general, and Native veterans in particular. It's an attitude that's been lost on much of our country these days, and something we need to regain.

I salute you, Mr. Wolf Guts. Thank you for all you've done.

What IS a coma, really?

Seems that the definition of "vegetative state" is about to be scrutinized thoroughly, as evidence mounts that what we term "conciousness" may be far deeper than we ever imagined.

This is really heavy. It may lead to groundbreaking revelations in the fields of neurology, psychology and bioethics at the very least.

I'm stunned and giddy at the new horizons hinted at in this discovery.

Apropos of Liberty

An atheist(as opposed to an anti-theist)is free to seek truth wherever s/he may find it. I find Ephesians 6:12 of the Christian Bible very descriptive of our current situation.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Yeah...it's pretty much like that.

Son of a...!!

Well, now what am I supposed to do? J.D. Hayworth's past employment has come to light, and for those of us who despise big government, it ain't looking good for him. "Consistent Conservative?" Really, J.D. You don't say.

Well, I'm still not voting for McCain. Not now, not ever again. So I guess I'm left with one choice: Jim Deakin. He's behind now, but this is the year of sudden turnarounds and dark-horse candidates. I hope it'll happen.

And now that I've made this choice, they'll probably find out Deakin's a space alien or something.

Truth

Hey, boys and girls--I've been all messed up on cold medicine(for legitimate purposes, I'll have you know!)for the last couple of days, and posting while intoxicated is something that usually comes back to haunt me.

17 June 2010

And lo, there arose upon my blogroll...

OK, how can you NOT love a blog entitled "Cranky Chicks with Guns?" That's most of my life right there.

Chicken soup for the Palinista's soul

The Obamas had best just start making U-Haul reservations now.

She's coming, Mr. President...and America's coming with her.

16 June 2010

I can't fathom this.

Yes, I know I just linked to this post and others in the previous recommendation of Hecate's Crossroad. But I just cannot wrap my mind around this mentality.

Every form of life ever seen on this planet will defend itself--in some way--if attacked. Any form of life above that of a plant will defend others of its kind. Except for castrated humans. Looks like the UK's defensive procedure is comprised solely of the soiling of their undergarments, followed by immediate retreat.

This is not 'civilized' or 'enlightened.' Failing to stop a homicidal maniac is evil, cowardly and an affront to the human race in particular, not to mention life in general. Please, (formerly)Great Britain, perform a dilligent and thorough search of your souls, find some semblance of a testicle, strap it on and stand up for yourselves. Heaven knows your elected officials aren't going to.

Blogroll Update

Hecate's Crossroad is now required reading for all those who read this blog. Those who don't read my blog are required to read hers twice, all the way through, and there will be a test later.

Why am I enamored with this blog? It's just that common sense and take-no-crap mentality. You know...the mindset that makes Americans who they are.

Productive civil disobedience

My fellow Americans on the Gulf Coast, you need to take a stand and do it now. Governor Jindal has shown the way.

We have been presented with obvious and irrefutable evidence that the Federal Government is absolutely useless at best, and a dangerous obstacle at worst. This is your Gulf, your ocean, your way of life. Have the once-great American people become so used to tyranny that they're paralyzed until a bunch of overeducated clowns give them 'permission' to see to their own survival?

Free people do not need, want or ask permission from any-damn-body. If something needs to be done, they do it without hesitation and without any concern for the cries of ineffectual Monday Morning Quarterbacks. You Gulf Coasters--all of you, private citizens, corporations, farmers, fishermen, hoteliers, restauranteurs, Right or Left--have got to do for yourselves, starting immediately. If you wait for any meaningful action from this regime, you can say a permanent goodbye to one of our country's greatest and most unique cultures. No one in Washington sees this catastrophe as anything other than a political and/or financial opportunity for themselves. They don't give one damn about you, your family, your neighbors, or your way of life.

The Gulf Coast will only be saved by those who love it, not those who see it as a voting bloc. Reach way down inside for that spark of American spirit, and do what you must.

15 June 2010

Wow. Who knew?

I really hate to be the kind of dick who says, "I told you so."

Seriously. I hate it when it's said to me, and I shouldn't be doing it to others if that's the case. But some situations simply cry out for it, and this is one of them.

14 June 2010

Quite possibly the best campaign ad EVAR.

This Barber guy gets it.

Hey, um...God?

I'm not too convinced you exist, but if by chance you do...I'm thinking we could really use some Divine Intervention down on the Gulf.

Just throwing that out there.

Your tax dollars at work

The thug mentality of the Communist-I-mean-Democrat Party is becoming more obvious by the day.

This "public servant" should have wound up bleeding on the ground, or in a jail cell. There's absolutely no excuse for this. None.

Take a good look at Congressman Bob Etheridge. Remember this face the next time someone makes noise about the 'unstable, neanderthal, potentially violent' Tea Partiers.

As for you folks in North Carolina...you know what needs to be done come November.

09 June 2010

Why I'm voting for J.D. Hayworth

Because he's not John McCain.

I appreciate Senator McCain's sacrifice on behalf of our country, but I'm fed up with people seeing him as some untouchable saint because of it. "That was yesterday. What have you done for us today?"

I've heard rumors that JD might be somewhat of a DeceptiCon. Maybe so, but I simply cannot stomach voting for a known DeceptiCon flip-flopper any more. McCain's recent transformation from "Amnesty now!" to "Finish the damn fence!" has made up my mind.

Governor Brewer was a guest on Hannity today, and Sean commented that McCain was all about 'finishing the fence.' Governor Brewer replied, "Yes, I know." I kid you not, I could actually hear her rolling her eyes over the sat-radio. Senator McCain seems to be oblivious to the fact that we, as a state and a nation, are now paying attention. Politicians can't get away with sudden reversals of position the way they used to--too many of us are watching and taking notes.

Senator, I'm eternally grateful for you putting the Sarahcuda in our national spotlight, but with all due respect, your time is over. Please, just bow out gracefully and retire with a certain amount of dignity.

Stop the funky end zone dances

A wonderful thing is happening in our great country. More and more people are waking up to the lies and thuggery of the radical Left. Unfortunately, too many of my brothers and sisters on the Right are, inadvertently, rendering this trend all for naught.

I speak to my fellow anti-Leftists: Many of you have been conservatives or libertarians all your lives. You saw through the lies of the Left, to coin a phrase, "from Day One." When you see a hardcore Obamanoid finally admit that our country is on the wrong path, you may feel the urge to say something along the lines of, "I've been telling you that for years. So, you've finally pulled your head out of your ass? I told you so!!!"

Stop it. Please.

Allen West for Veep

It's no secret that I'd like to see Sarah Palin, the Warrior of the Midnight Sun, in the Oval Office come 2013. Well, I'd actually like to see her there yesterday, but there's that pesky 'rule of law' thing we have to deal with.

But if Chris Christie, or Jan Brewer, or Michele Bachmann, or any real, principled conservative gets the nomination, I'm all in for them. Regardless of who wins the White House, I think the obvious choice for Vice President is Lt. Col. Allen West.

Why VP, in particular? Two words: Assassination insurance.

Tinfoil beanie fodder

This is a very interesting video. And I'm certain that it will give rise to the same old rumors that were floating around during the election. You know: "His middle name's Hussein, man! He's a secret Muslim! He's going to give our country over to Islam!"

Yeah, right.

Let's take off our tinfoil and get real, here. If BHO were a stealth jihadist, bent on softening up America for eventual economic, military and/or cultural conquest by Islam...what would he do?

Well, he'd want to make sure our economy were in dire straits. Poor and desperate people are less able to defend themselves, and more willing to grab onto anything that promises to set things right. In particular, he'd want to cripple our energy industry--especially oil--so as to make the USA more dependent on the Muslim Middle East.

Being a Muslim, he'd despise the Jews, and would undermine Israel at every turn. Remember, he wouldn't want to be as obvious as dropping a nuke, but he'd make sure he withheld America's protection any way he could.

Of course, he'd have to make certain that the majority of able-bodied, battle-hardened American soldiers were far away from America itself, so he'd want to continue pouring resources and fighting men into faraway conflicts. He'd cut funding to the military and domestic anti-terrorism efforts as much as he possibly could without raising suspicion.

He'd definitely have to get the spectre of jihadist terrorism as far out of the public conciousness as possible. He wouldn't let anyone in his administration even breathe the words "radical Islam."

Now, since all of these things are totally at odds with the actions and policies of the Obama regime, all you wacko conspiracy nuts can just go back to hiding from the black helicopters, OK?

I swear, some people will believe anything.

Wisdom from Japan

I don't entirely agree with everything Onoda-san says, but there's a lot of truth in many of his thoughts.

Read and ruminate.

Black Death, Day 44

I'm so glad President Unicorn has been on this "from Day One."

Someone open a window!

That dead mackerel is really stinking up the joint.

Now we have Andrew Romanoff from Colorado involved in this debacle, with apparently three positions offered him if he'd bail out of his Democratic primary.

The problem for the Obama administration, as I see it, is that they're too used to the Chicago Way. This is coming back to bite them in the ass, and will hopefully usher out the New Era of Hope and Change, which America has had more than enough of, thank you.

The Chicago Way is lead pipes and brass knuckles. It's blatant and brutal. The city has been a cesspit of corruption since Al Capone ran it through a puppet mayor, and they barely even try to hide it any more.

The Chicago Way is very far removed from the Washington Way. By the time a politician gets to DC, s/he's expected to have developed a certain amount of finesse. I'll give you an example.

Say you want to throw your hat into the ring in a primary. I, a person very high up the ladder, want your opponent, Bill Brown, to win. So I come to you and say:

"Look, I know you want to jump into this race, but it'll split the vote and end up harming the party. Strategically, we all have to get behind Bill Brown on this one, so we'd appreciate you waiting for a more appropriate time. We realize you really want to run, but if you play ball here, your sacrifice will not be forgotten."

Now, take a good look at what I said--and what I didn't say. Nothing has been promised to you. Plausible deniability is maintained. If you wind up under oath down the line, and you're asked by a prosecutor if you were offered any sort of bribe or incentive to drop out, you will be able to truthfully answer, "No."

I will leave it to my readers (numbering, at this juncture, zero) to debate the ethical and moral issues involved here, but that's the way things are done in the higher circles of politics. Technically, this remains within the letter of the law. As long as no specific offer is made, it's legal. There was an implication, but an implication is almost impossible to prove in court.

But once I name a certain position or amount of money, I've crossed the line. That takes it from an abstract implication to a real bribe. And that's illegal, under a couple of sections of the United States Code.

Break out the popcorn...this is going to be a very interesting ride.

"Now do you get it?"

The Warrior of the Midnight Sun takes environazis to task...
With your nonsensical efforts to lock up safer drilling areas, all you’re doing is outsourcing energy development, which makes us more controlled by foreign countries, less safe, and less prosperous on a dirtier planet. Your hypocrisy is showing. You’re not preventing environmental hazards; you’re outsourcing them and making drilling more dangerous.

Extreme deep water drilling is not the preferred choice to meet our country’s energy needs, but your protests and lawsuits and lies about onshore and shallow water drilling have locked up safer areas. It’s catching up with you. The tragic, unprecedented deep water Gulf oil spill proves it.

Quite a contrast to our current pathetic excuse for a President...no?

Am Yisrael chai!

"Israel lives!"
Yep, I'm a gentile atheist who's got Israel's back. Anyone who has a problem with this can take a long walk on a short dock.

Israel has been our staunchest ally in the Middle East since their inception. They are the last line of defense between liberty and the Islamofascists. They've done nothing but right by us, and we had their back--at least until we elected this bowing, scraping, apologist dhimmi punk to lead our nation.

Let's take a look at the facts:

Gaza, a small chunk of the nation of Israel, was taken over by an Islamic terrorist organization called Hamas in July of 2007.

Among it's stated goals, Hamas includes "the eventual creation of an Islamic state in Palestine, in place of Israel and the Palestinian Territories, and the obliteration or nullification of Israel."

Hamas has launched literally thousands of rockets indiscriminately into the state of Israel, leading to 28 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Israel and Egypt, since 2007, have maintained a blockade against Gaza to prevent Hamas from launching more attacks. While weapons of war are prohibited, humanitarian supplies such as food and medicines have always been allowed through.

On monday, a flotilla backed by the so-called 'humanitarian' organization IHH (a front for jihadist terrorist activities) attempted to run the blockade, claiming to be 'peace activists.' They ignored several warnings to turn back.

Israeli commandos, armed with non-lethal weapons excepting their sidearms, boarded the flotilla by rappelling from helicopters.

The 'peace activists' immediately set upon the commandos with clubs, knives, guns, slingshots and other weapons. A melee commenced, and people on both sides were injured and killed.

The UN, an organization of 192 countries that usually has trouble agreeing on the color of the sky, has unanimously...condemned Israel.

Dude...wait, what?

This incident has been all over Sirius 144, and some chucklehead calling in to Sean Hannity's show asked, "What if the tables were turned?" Good question! Let's explore that. Here's a list of the current members of the United Nations.

Now, answer me this: If they were imposing a blockade to protect their nation from continued, indiscriminate attacks, and someone tried to run that blockade...how many of these countries would attempt to board the offending craft at all, let alone carrying less-than-lethal weapons? How many would just call in a gunship or two to blow the potential threat straight to hell, and not give a damn what anyone else thought of it?

And Israel's the bad guy here? Um...yeah. Not so much.

Sestak continued

Well, it appears I was dead wrong. Kind of a shame.

But new developments continue to surface. Now, supposedly, Bill Clinton was sent as an intermediary to kinda sorta maybe hint about the possibility of a position that Sestak wouldn't have even been able to hold while continuing to serve in the House.

I'm calling this the 'dead mackerel' case. The longer it sits out there, the more it stinks.
