The persistence of the human spirit

Folks, you need to read this.  Like now.

Yesterday I noticed someone who looked familiar to me with homeless please help sign written on a beat up piece of cardboard. I almost never carry cash. I am debit card girl. So, I just kept walking to my destination. I had to use the bathroom and needed to walk past her again. I noticed she was reading Atlas Shrugged. Which of course I found amusing and ironic. I looked again, and yes indeed I did recognize her. She recently started showing up at some tea party and election events that I have been to in the past few months. I went over to ask what she needed.

When she saw someone coming with children with them she moved her sign. I went and asked her why she did that and she told me that she realized that children don't always understand the very real reasons why adults are hesitant to give money to strangers. These people didn't know her story and many assume she is addict or something. I asked if drugs were the reason she was here. She explained it was simply a recession issue for her. She lost her job three years ago and could only find a job in retail sales that paid her commission. She did ok for the first two years and but then she ran out of her savings. Her job then cut her commission level in half and then cut her hours in half as well. She even said Target turned her down for a job. She simply got an email saying that they were not interested at this time and reapply in six months. Something that left her very depressed and feeling desperate.

I asked her what her most immediate need was (besides a job that pays a livable wage) and she told me she needed to do laundry. She was almost completely out of clean clothes. I didn't notice anything with her and she explained she has a car and keeps her things in her car...

She explained to me that she knew this coming for a while and held it off as long as she could, but just couldn't make the rent anymore. She thought she had prepared herself but has found out that it is an incremental experience. Your life becomes about surviving today. Having enough food for today. Finding a safe place to sleep tonight. Looking at tomorrow is hard and looking at next week is next to impossible. She went through a period of depression for the first month or so but has been able to shake that off. She realized that this is her life and only she can get herself out of it. She keeps herself clean and has started filling out job applications again. She has a job interview later this week. She told me that she has been able to keep her phone turned on so can find a job. She says that is one of her biggest fears is that she will lose her phone service or her computer will get stolen. She knows she will never find a job if those things happen. She has found places that she feels safe to sleep. The hard part now is filling all the hours without getting very depressed.
Now, tell me how bad things are for you.  Please.  Explain to everyone how horrible your life is.

Oh, Colonel...really?

Commenter "Grandpa" at iOTW sums up the recent actions of Allen West.  To say I'm disappointed is on the level of saying that outer space is slightly chilly.

FACT: Congressional bill #1 in 2011 was a vote to defund Obamacare. Allen West did not support it and voted NO.

FACT: Allen West voted to continue FUNDING for the fraud that is Pigford.

FACT: Rep Kings Bill to defund the Libyan war and call Obama to task on his violation of the war powers act. Allen West voted no. He voted to fund Obama’s war.

FACT: Allen West disparaged, the Tea Party with name calling. Sure he twisted himself in knots saying people misunderstood. But I heard him. There was no misunderstanding.

FACT: Allen West voted to support the raising of the Debt Ceiling. A specific platform plank he used as a talking point in his election effort at 36 different venues in speeches. He promised on 36 different public occasions to vote AGAINST raising the debt limit and borrow more money.

Principles matter, perhaps not to progressives who are comfy in the land of hypocrisy and lies, but a conservative, a real patriot, should never be comfy there or even know where the flippin place is. It shouldn’t even be on their map.
"Steadfast and loyal," Col. West?  Really?  You were elected to take a stand against the Obama regime, sir.  Remember?  What happened to that?

This is a means of getting control of your land and production. They want to force you off the tractor and get their own "professional drivers" in, who will then have to power to sabotage your planting and harvest. Not to mention the fact that they want you paying their union thug $80 per hour while you are sitting in the house twiddling your thumbs. These professional drivers would most likely be unionized and illegal aliens. You know I'm right.

This is starting to come into focus - just a bit. The Norwegian murderer's "manifesto" is pretty much a 1500 page cut-and-paste job. Lots of word-for-word plagiarism. It appears that it may have been constructed quoting from multiple folks in the anti-jihad movement in order to then "implicate", or at least damn-by-implied-association people who obviously had nothing to do with the Norwegian Nutter.

Great work there by "Sagunto". Finding plagiarism (if that is the correct term for this) really isn't that difficult. Here is how you do it. Find a sentence or phrase in an essay that is relatively unique in composition. For example, the sentence I just wrote above:

In the entire history of humanity and the English language, those words have NEVER been assembled in that order ever before. Therefore, one can do a simple google or other search engine search on that sentence by putting quotation marks around it in the search engine entry field. This will yield EXACT match results. So, with Brevik's manifesto, all one need do is pull out unique sentences, or even just phrases, and do a search on them. Any matches will pop right up.
 
It seems to me that if Brevik was an insane "philosopher" like the Unabomber, he would be all about writing his own stuff. Writing your own stuff is kinda the point for philosophers - both the sane and the insane. The Brevik "manifesto" seems to be more of a contrived "smoking gun" specifically designed to implicate prominent names in the anti-jihad movement. And that is exactly what they are doing. They have already gone after Geert Wilders, Pamela Geller (from Atlas Shrugs), the guys and girls over at GatesofVienna.blogspot.com and Robert Spencer to name just a few.
 
And yes, even I have an anti-gun propagandist who is tasked with "smearing" me on the internet. He doesn't get much traction, but he sure tries! About all he can do is call me "crazy" over and over and over again, but sure enough, within hours of the Norwegian attacks, he made a post calling me "America's Brevik". Now, you might be thinking that this is no big deal and I certainly do take this guy with a grain of salt, but there is one aspect to this that bears note, and I think perhaps ties back to the phenomenon of the constructed Brevik manifesto and the immediate attempts to smear anti-jihad authors. This propagandist assigned to me? He works and runs his blog out of the United Nations World Food Programme office in Rome. No kidding. The kind gent at the following link sent me a heads up back in February when he saw the U.N. blogger's first post about me. The U.N. blogger's handle is Mikeb302000. Can you now see why I view all of this Norway stuff with extreme suspicion? I already personally know that the U.N. pays people (with OUR tax dollars, by the way) to act as agents provocateurs against the United States, its Constitution and its citizens. The U.N. wants to disarm Americans via the Small Arms Treaty and has the full cooperation of the Obama/Clinton machine. Operation Fast and Furious was designed and executed to achieve that goal. The U.N. is also deeply anti-Israel and pro-muslim, specifically the Muslim Brotherhood. The Norway mass murder serves practically every U.N. agenda simultaneously. It really is spooky to see how all of this stuff is connected, and you don't need to dig down very far at all to find these connections.
 
Which will segue into my next post. Why in the hell haven't we withdrawn and evicted the U.N. from American soil . . . ?

...for Father Zakaria Botros, aka "Islam's Public Enemy #1."

According to FrontPage, Fr. Zakaria’s self-proclaimed mission is to “attack Islam, not attack Muslims“ and to ”save them because they are deceived.”

Fr. Zakaria also reportedly said “as I love Muslims, I hate Islam.”
That's the point that the Left generally--and likely, purposefully--misses.  Hating the evils worked by Islam is not to hate those bound by it. 

Father Zakaria, for his peaceful campaign of rationality, has been rewarded with a $60M bounty on his head.  Yet, he continues his work.  May the Lord bless and keep him.

Common Sense 101

First off, from our good friend Norman Einstein at iOTW, we're treated to a calm and intelligent rant.  SFW, even.


Then, four comments down at the iOTW post, Eternal Cracker gives us this gem...

It boggles my mind how the government is in every single aspect of everyone’s life and they still can’t manage to make ends meet. We’re taxed on our income, taxed on our purchases, taxed on our sales, taxed on our energy, taxed on our food. And if we aren’t taxed for doing it legally, we’re fined for doing it illegally. Every single thing we do, the government is first in line to get their share and they don’t do a damn thing for it.

Well I tell you what, if there was a private corporation that could get a fixed rate, say, one TENTH of one CENT for every thing the government gets money for currently, it would most likely be the most profitable corporation ever and the shareholders would be raking in the dough. It’s just wrong when someone making $65k/yr supporting a family needs to give ~$10k/yr to the federal gov’t on top of state and local taxes and ends up having to eat Top Ramen and hot dogs because the government needs to eat first!!??!11 And what are the benefits???

“We all need to make sacrifices.” — B.H.O. — Personally, I refuse to work and give tax dollars to this inept government… I’m OFF the system, they can go pound sand. Well except for all my legal purchases and until they catch up with my underground black mark..err, nevermind.
News flash:  Until we rein in this government and force it back into its Constitutional limitations, no matter how much they take, it'll never be enough.  Ever.  The more they take, the more they grow, and vice versa.  This is why a Constitutionally-limited government isn't just a good idea...IT'S THE LAW.  Now, if only we'd start enforcing it.

Col. Crockett learns a lesson

By way of some very knowledgeable commenters on iOTW, I've been up to my elbows in newly-discovered information.  The best one so far is a story that Col. David Crockett tells of being soundly schooled on the principles behind the Constitution...

"'Individual members may give as much of their own money as they please, but they have no right to touch a dollar of the public money for that purpose.  If twice as many houses had been burned in this county as in Georgetown, neither you nor any other member of Congress would have thought of appropriating a dollar for our relief.  There are about two hundred and forty members of Congress.  If they had shown their sympathy for the sufferers by contributing each one week's pay, it would have made over $13,000.  There are plenty of men in and around Washington who could have given $20,000 without depriving themselves of even a luxury of life.  The congressmen chose to keep their own money, which, if reports be true, some of them spend not very creditably; and the people about Washington, no doubt, applauded you for relieving them from the necessity of giving by giving what was not yours to give.  The people have delegated to Congress, by the Constitution, the power to do certain things.  To do these, it is authorized to collect and pay moneys, and for nothing else.  Everything beyond this is usurpation, and a violation of the Constitution.'

RTWT.  And then send it to every bleeding-heart liberal whiner you know.  When they're done with that, you can show them this essay, entitled "The Forgotten Man."


The type and formula of most schemes of philanthropy or humanitarianism is this: A and B put their heads together to decide what C shall be made to do for D. The radical vice of all these schemes, from a sociological point of view, is that C is not allowed a voice in the matter, and his position, character, and interests, as well as the ultimate effects on society through C's interests, are entirely overlooked. There Is Nothing New Under the Sun

Here’s your history lesson of the day, and it’s a duzy. Do you all remember the department store chain Montgomery Ward? It was in the same class as JC Penney and Sears, and like Penney’s and Sears had a robust catalog business in the 20th century. The catalog ended in 1985 and the stores closed in 2000. The incident we are going to talk about happened during World War 2, in 1944. When I read this it initially put my jaw on the floor, but when I thought about it for a moment, I realized that it put all of the pieces together regarding Marxist tactics and motivations.
In early 1943 employees of Montgomery Ward went on strike in seven cities: Jamaica, New York; Detroit; Chicago; St. Paul; Denver; San Rafael, California and Portland, Oregon. (For the sake of brevity, I will henceforth refer to Montgomery Ward as “Ward’s”, which is what people casually referred to them as back in the day.) Ward’s stood their ground and refused to recognize or capitulate to the union thugs in these seven locations.
 
Now get this. On April 26, 1944, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered U.S. Army troops to storm and seize Wards’ corporate offices in Chicago. Yes, you read that correctly. FDR deployed the Army against Americans on American soil, physically captured occupied their property and even had Ward’s chairman, Sewell Avery, forcibly carried out of his office hoisted on the shoulders of US Army troops. FDR then installed his Secretary of Commerce, Jesse Holman Jones, as manager of Ward’s Chicago facility. FDR justified this action by citing his power as Commander-in-Chief AND his authority under the Smith-Connally Act.
 
The Smith-Connally Act, which was also called the War Labor Disputes Act, was passed in June of 1943. It was hastily rammed through congress, touted as an “emergency measure” (sound familiar?) after 400,000 coal miners went on strike. Why did the miners go on strike? They went on strike because of the high inflation that was being experienced at the time. (Sound familiar?) They wanted a $2 per day wage increase in order to pace the inflation. Interestingly, FDR vetoed the Smith-Connally Act but Congress had a super-majority and overrode FDR’s veto. This threw me for a moment when I first read it, but let me explain. The Smith-Connally Act gave FDR massive dictatorial power. So why did he veto it? Optics. FDR knew that he had a super-majority in Congress, so in order to appear like the innocent, blushing maiden, rather than the Marxist dictatorial wolf that he was, he vetoed it. Congress promptly overrode the veto and FDR was then free to wield the power which was handed to him by Congress and which he falsely claimed to protest. In other words, “Hey, you INSISTED on giving me this power. Now you can’t complain when I use it.”
 
Back to Ward’s. In the summer of 1944 the National Labor Relations Board (Sound familiar? Boeing? South Carolina? 2011?) tried to organize a Ward’s union again, but Ward’s STILL stood its ground. As a result, FDR issued an executive order (sound familiar?) ordering the Secretary of War (which is now called the Secretary of Defense) to seize ALL Ward’s property nationwide in order to force Ward’s to capitulate to the unions. This seizure was upheld by the Court of Appeals. No joke. I’ll tell you how the story ended in a minute.
 
I have one more anecdote about the tyrannical use of the Smith-Connally Act by FDR. This one is complex because there were wrongs on both sides, and it actually involved FDR turning against the unions, but we’ll think our way through it. In 1944 the Philadelphia Transport Workers Union went on strike because Philadelphia Transportation Company decided to integrate the skilled positions on trains and trolleys, namely motormen and conductors by promoting and training black porters and other existing employees in menial positions, but who were already experienced with the trains of trolleys. This integration was spurred not by altruism and a spirit of Christian brotherhood, but because there was a shortage of labor due to the war. Because of this, the whites-only union went on strike. Yes, everyone’s motives were sleazy. But, I want you to focus on what FDR did, because the issue in question is the lawless tyranny of the state. The true racism of the unions is a given. We don’t need to re-invent that wheel.
 
FDR ordered his then-Secretary of War (again) Harry L. Stimson to seize the Philadelphia Transportation Company and installed US Army Major General Philip Hayes as CEO. That’s right. FDR forcibly seized and handed a private company to the United States military by executive fiat. When the union didn’t agree to Gen. Hayes’ terms, Hayes deployed 5000 troops to seize and run the PTC trains, with armed soldiers riding the trains as “security”. Oh, but it gets even worse! On August 5, 1944, Gen. Hayes issued an order that unless the unions returned to work by 12:01 am on August 7th, they would be fired and all between the ages of 18 and 37 would lose their military draft deferments. Yep. He threatened to draft them, which during World War 2 carried a very high risk of being killed.
 
FDR was one of the most dangerous men in American history up until Obama. If FDR had been ten years younger than he was and had lived, I honestly think that he could have become a full-blown dictator. FDR died in April of 1945 after having just been sworn in to his FOURTH term as President. Harry Truman then became president and after the conclusion of the War appointed the Hoover Commission which promptly recommended the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution which limited Presidents to two terms. Truman knew that we had dodged a bullet with Roosevelt and made certain that a tyrannical dynasty like FDR’s would never happen again. With regards to Montgomery Ward, Truman terminated the government seizure of Ward’s almost immediately after being sworn in as President in 1945. Remember, Truman was a Democrat whom FDR picked to be his Vice President knowing that he probably wouldn’t survive his fourth term. Can you imagine Joe Biden being elevated to the Presidency (in whatever circumstance) and then immediately repealing ObamaCare and calling a commission on eligibility requirements resulting in a Constitutional amendment? Of course not. Why? Because Joe Biden has no personal integrity. None of them today do. None of them. But Truman had integrity and reversed Roosevelt’s imperious tyranny. That was a different time, a different culture, and frankly, a different country. The U.S. was able to shake off Roosevelt’s brand of Marxism and get back on track because the halls of government were still walked by men with a backstop of integrity and morality. That backstop no longer exists, which is why we are screwed.

Finally, a quick word on how Marxists relate to Unions. The unions think that the Marxist ruling class is “on their side” . . . right up until the bullet actually enters their cranium. Marxism DESPISES the middle class. Marxism is all about destroying the middle class – but the middle class is actually split into two separate parts. The first part is what we call the “upper middle class”. You may have heard the French term “bourgeois” (buzh-wah). The noun form of “bourgeois” is “bourgeoisie” (buzh-wah-ZEE). That’s the upper middle class. Marxists use guilt to induce self-loathing among the upper middle class. Many of them, especially those who do not have strong faith in God, fall for it and thus essentially hand themselves over to the Marxist elites. Sound familiar?

For those in the upper middle class who don’t fall for the self-loathing Marxist agitprop, persecution and death comes early in the Marxist revolution process. The self-loathers are the second group to be eliminated. Academics, clergy, artists, business owners and politicians outside the elite cadre, even though they supported the Marxist elites, are killed early in the “purging” process. Why? Because the Marxist elites know that once these people figure out that all of their “social justice” talk was complete b.s., these people COULD turn on them and expose their fraud to the lower-middle class, or “proletariat”. So, the Marxist elites eliminate that risk. For the love of God, PLEASE read the history of the Soviet Union. Lenin and Stalin eventually killed damn near EVERYONE who ascended through the Communist Party. They had to keep continually elevating and then murdering people in order to maintain their decadent lifestyle and fraud without being ratted out to the suffering proletariat who would certainly revolt against the Marxist elites if they knew the truth.

The proletariat, or lower-middle class, is a bit different. In the beginning of the revolution process the Marxist elites rely heavily on the lower-middle class, blue collar workers. They agitate and organize workers and form unions. Josef Stalin was a union organizer. They do this by stirring up class envy between the lower middle class and the upper middle class. (Sound familiar?) Every business owner is cast as a “greedy fat cat”. “Equality” and “fairness” are the buzzterms used to incite the workers against their employers. The Marxist elites promise the proletariat "equality and fairness" if they will only give them power and loyalty and support the Marxist revolution. But it is all a lie. The Marxist elites don’t give a crap about the proletariat. They view them as expendable animals whose only purpose is to deliver the Marxist elites to power. Once the revolution is complete, the proletariat – now fully integrated into the destitute lower class - no longer serves a purpose. Not only do they not serve a purpose, but they are a drain on the Marxist government. They eat and get sick and use resources. They also get disgruntled when they realize that the elitists used them, promised them the moon, and then delivered poverty, starvation and disease. In order to maintain power, Marxists have to squash the proletariat under the jackboot of a police state driven by violence and terror.

And so, in FDR’s tyrannical actions from 1943-1945 we see a microcosm of the agitation-suppression cycle of the union-elitist relationship. The Marxists start out all kissy-kissy with the unions, but then transition to threats and brutality as soon as they have accumulated power. This is why Marxists began their infiltration of our culture 50 years ago in the SCHOOLS. It is critically important that both the lower middle class and the upper middle class today have NO KNOWLEDGE of history and thus cannot recognize what is happening, and more importantly how it is going to end. These pathetic union members honestly believe that Barack and Michelle Obama, who take million-dollar vacations on a near-monthly basis, actually care about them when the truth is that they despise them and laugh at their gullibility. And none of them have the foggiest idea who Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Mao Zedong or Pol Pot were, much less that these four men alone murdered well over one hundred million of their own people in roughly 60 years.

As a religious, self-educated member of the upper middle class, I stand proudly at the front of the Marxist extermination queue, and wouldn't have it any other way. Molon labe.

Well, things are changing.  I've had to be away from home, working out of the flyspeck town of Holbrook, AZ during the week--every week--for the last three years.  Most of that time has been spent in the aforementioned 'old travel trailer.'  I'm not really complaining.  I'm blessed to work for one of the greatest companies in my industry.  I've done far worse jobs for far less money, I have a wonderful bunch of coworkers, and even our dispatchers are great people(unheard of!).

But I miss my wife, I miss my cats, and I'm annoyed at paying $85K for a house I basically don't even live in.  So, I've been searching for a transfer to a location within reasonable commuting distance.  And I finally got one.  It'll pay a bit less(acceptable), it'll involve some physical labor(which I could use), and I'll be able to commute on my poor, neglected motorcycle without having to ride through the mountains and freeze my balls off.  There's just one real drawback...


Yep, I'm gonna be back on the night shift again.  Although when it's summer in Phoenix, that could be seen as an upside, I'm wondering if I can deal with it.  I guess we'll find out.

(BTW, this post serves a dual purpose.  It will explain any excessive weirdness in my posts over the next few weeks, and it plugs one of my favorite bands of all time.  FYI.)

Justice for Dexter

Who?  Dexter is a tiny kitten who survived, against all odds, a horrific and sadistic assault by a very disturbed woman who not only encouraged her children to participate, but has another serial-killer-in-training on the way.

Once again, folks--I'm not an 'animal rights' whacko.  But if you're beating kittens with a baseball bat, you are one sick, evil, f***ed-up individual.  This is exactly how folks like Bundy and Dahmer got started.  This woman needs to serve some time, and hopefully, her children will be remanded into the custody of someone with a concience.

Yes, I signed the petition linked in the article.  If you have an ounce of humanity, I urge you to do the same.

A Congressman to watch out for

Joe Walsh (R-IL) gives "Tingles" Matthews a stern talking-to(link includes video). 

Matthews demanded to know from Walsh where were the cuts in the proposal from House Republicans and why they were wasting time pursuing a balanced budget Amendment now, when the country could go into default in a few weeks if the debt ceiling was not raised. Walsh responded “where’s the President’s plan Chris Matthews” and stressed that it was Obama who wasn’t serious and was playing politics. Walsh also vowed that as a freshman Congressman, he promised to change how business is done in Washington and that’s exactly what the Republicans are now doing.

With the pleasantries out of the way (and by pleasantries I mean passive aggressive questions flying back and forth between the two men implying that the other had no clue what they were talking about), then the gloves really came off. Matthews interrupted Walsh’s response and said “let me ask you three questions,” to which Walsh advised “try one at a time.” Then as tensions began to rise, and as Matthews continued to suggest Obama was trying to be the reasonable one in the debt negotiations, Walsh had enough and unleashed the word: “tingle!” Walsh informed Matthews that the “the American people are beyond you” and unlike Matthews, Obama “doesn’t send a thrill up my leg.” According to Walsh, if anyone should be accused of wasting time it is the President, who did nothing on this issue for the past six months.

And just when the fight seemed to be calming down, both sides proved they were ready for Round 2!...

RTWT.  Rep. Walsh is proving to be a welcome light of sanity in the state of Illinois.  I'm keeping an eye on this dude.

RED ALERT: BEWARE "THETEAPARTY.NET"

This is suspicious, to say the least.

Loew picks apart the FEC filing of this group, which also lists all these mega-donors, and this is the astounding find:
  • They raked in nearly $500K, $469K to be exact, from January 2010 to October of 2010, the most of any Tea Party in Arizona.
  • $4,500 for company travel.
  • $23K for office expenses.
  • $16.5K for pens, books and videos for donors
  • $181,759 for marketing: Google, FaceBook and other ad companies, so every time you “google” “tea party US” they are the first to pop up.
  • Not one DOLLAR spent on rallies or campaign expenses for Tea Party candidates.
And that’s not all. Thousands have logged into this group and typed in their personal information and credit card information and the group that runs the website is also into the “data collection” business. One of the companies they own sells people’s personal information to ReverseLeadClub.com in an attempt to sell reverse mortgages.

Reporter Loew attempted to interview Cefaratti however he refused and jumped into his Escalade. Note at the 4:20 mark on the video Cefaratti’s license plate reads “TEAPARTY1.”

While this might not be conclusive legal evidence of an outright scam, I would personally steer well clear of this site, and its sister/clone JoinTheTeaParty.us.  Caveat emptor.

The Undefeated: Doctor Zero weighs in

John "Doctor Zero" Hayward gives us his take on The Undefeated, the Leftist mindset, and Governor Palin's chances.

This might sound harsh, but I also consider the way Palin brings out the knuckle-dragging misogyny of liberals to be a plus.  Modern liberalism is an ideology of hatred and envy.  Its blood burns hotter as every product of its imagination becomes a titanic failure in the real world.  It has nothing left but hatred now.  Liberals have sunk so low that they openly value punitive taxation more than avoiding national default.  They spend their time looking for targets, not solutions.

Similar levels of shrieking hysteria are directed at the Left’s other class and ideological enemies.  The sexist fury they unleash against Palin is a useful reminder of their true nature to voters that should understand what kind of future they are voting for, when they vote for a liberal.  Palin has proven she can take the heat.
 
Some of the other 2012 GOP contenders strike me as the sort who will be very surprised by what crawls out of the media’s Hellraiser puzzle box after they win the nomination… especially the ones that want to run as “moderates.”  Sorry, fellas, but nobody to the right of this radical President is going to be anointed as a “moderate” once the general election campaign begins.  If you don’t fill out your Tea Party application now, rest assured the press will do it for you next year.

The Undefeated: Perspective

We hit the first Saturday showing, and the theater was 95% full.  When we left, the line for the next showing stretched out the door.  Anyone who says that this film just 'isn't popular,' is a lying sack of crap.  Period.

The Undefeated showed me things about Governor Palin that even I hadn't known.  This is an education that needs to be spread far and wide--and quickly.  No matter what the elites try to tell us, we are the majority.  We know right from wrong, good from evil, success from failure.  There are still enough of us left to turn the tide, but it's going to take a lot of effort and unwavering commitment.  From the turnout, the spontaneous rounds of applause, and the unwavering dedication to America that I saw today, there is no doubt in my mind that we can still win the day.

God bless America, and God bless Sarah Palin and those who stand with her.

We're off to see it today down at the Ahwatukee 24.  Wonder how many fellow Palinistas we'll meet?

Speaking of 'undefeated,' the Constitution is still hanging in there.  Maybe by a thread, but we still have a chance to save it.

Well let me introduce you to a new breed of Black Conservative.  We are not your Carlton Banks, Clarence Thomas, or Condi Rice.  We learned conservative values from our black churches and the frugal nature of single parent homes.  We learned capitalism from Street Corners, while also trying to escape the traps Liberals set for us.  We’ve fallen, gotten back up, and now have families that we are willing to fight for.  Our Hip Hop culture has done more to disprove the idea of mutual salvation than all other sources of Conservative Talk, Blog, or TV and we are here to be a voice for those you and your Liberal cohorts have stereo typed for years.

If I were to not pussyfoot around what, exactly, has been getting my attention lately, it may well be the spectacle of people who can, with no sense of irony whatsoever, cheer the success of the second-amendments rights vanguard in normalizing both gun ownership and carry of said arms by force of activism and cultural osmosis and react to the success of the gay rights vanguard in culturally normalizing same-sex couples by force of activism and cultural osmosis as evidence that the latter is a sinister lavender-shaded fifth column brainwashing the American people. It’s one thing to think that the former cause is a good and just one and the latter cause a destructive one, which contrary to popular hysteria is not about to become illegal anytime soon, and quite another to treat the exact same process as somehow unfair or evidence of the untrustworthiness of the causes’s holders when it’s done by a minority interest you dislike.

Replace "cat" with "motorcycle," and I've lived this.

Life With Cats is now a part of my blogroll, via iOTW.  You gotta love this guy for making the right call.

Girlfriend says cat has to go!! Free tonight!!
My girlfriend said the cat has to be gone by 12:00 tomarrow. She left a little while ago to hang with her friends. I put all her crap on the lawn and will try my best to find her a new home but if not there is always the shelter.


So what we have here is one mildly attractive yet bitchy soon to find out she is a homeless exgirlfriend. She is somewhat house broken (but i think she is still connected to her mom by the umbilical cord).

She is in her midtwenties and is NOT SPAYED (though she usually takes the pill) Lot of life left in this one. She is up to date on her shots and is great with dogs and small children, but does not seem to get along well with cats.

She is playfull and bathroom trained (If takeing over every inch of horizontal surface with her stuff in the place is house broken. Then she is the Queen of house brokeness!!!).

She has somewhat of a special diet though i never figured it out fully, but pretty much it is dictated by what ever her closest friend of that week is into (Raw, vegan, atkins, hostess) You get the picture.
She will be coming with a whole lot of stuff!! (If it is still there when she comes home, but when iam done here Iam heading right over to the free section so maybe not) There will not be a rehoming fee (As a matter of fact i got $34 cash if you can get her tonight, If you need more we can hit the atm unless you have paypal then we have lots of options).

The main reason I am rehoming her is becuase she moved in about 9 months ago, and for three months everything was great, but then she started bitching about my cat. My cat has lived with me for 11 years since he was abandoned in my yard at about 3 weeks old, and i had too bottle feed him and teach him how to do everything a cool male should know (hunt, nap, play, hide, chirp like a bird. how to use a litter box!! This was the most challenging as i did not know how to use one myself. That made for some awkward moments) In other words Misdemeanor and I have been kicking it for a long time, and if she thinks I would even consider kicking him to the curb. Well need i say more?


I may put her up for auction on ebay tonight if my lawyer gives me the okay.

Priceless.  This, folks, is the definition of loyalty and honor.

Now, before my readers start thinking Wraith's done gone off his meds, let me elaborate.  I do not believe animals have rights equal to humans.  I have not joined PeTA, the HSUS or any other "animal rights" vegan whackjob organization.  But, dammit, God gave us dominion over the creatures of the Earth, and that is a responsibility that we must live up to.

When you take in a domesticated critter, you are making a lifetime commitment to that animal.  It would have been one thing if his Soon-To-Be-X had suddenly developed a violent cat allergy--it's been known to happen.  (If that happened to my wife, the cats would be gone, no matter how heartbreaking it would be.)  But it seems that STBX basically decided that she had the poster by the balls enough that she could start issuing ultimatums without consequence.  She has now found out different, and hopefully will learn something from the whole affair.

His devotion to Misdemeanor may just have saved this guy from becoming a whimpering, henpecked shell of a man for the rest of his life.  Here's to you, kitty!

We are sick of overweening government bureaucrats who think they know how to live our lives better than we do. We can't have 100 watt light bulbs because they use too much electricity. We can't have trans-fats because you've decided they are bad for us. We can't have a toilet that will efficiently dispose of a normal-sized crap because too many people moved to California and sucked all the water out of the ground. We can't be trusted to use fireworks or firearms responsibly. We have to buy health insurance, because you've decided it's for our own good. Garbage. You can't even run your own lives, I'll be damned if you'll run mine.

We are sick of being told by elites what to think and how to think it. We are racist or backwards if we disagree with elites. We are not morons. Many of us are well educated, and darn near all of us possess common sense, the least common of all gifts. Your Ivy League degree means crap to us when your policies have bankrupted our country. Try eating that sheepskin when you find you can't get a job in the real world.

RED ALERT: PLANNED 'EXECUTIVE ORDERS'

Yeah, about that whole "Separation of Powers" thing?  Obummer's telling us exactly where we can stick it.  I don't recall electing him Emperor, but it's not like the rule of law matters any more.

Of course, if the rule of law is null and void...well, that can work both ways.  Just sayin.'

Still, executive actions offer something that legislation doesn't: guaranteed results. And as one gun control advocate told the Huffington Post, there are ways to "use these administrative changes to obtain similar results."

The Anthony verdict

Folks everywhere are screeching their heads off in outrage over Casey Anthony being acquitted of Capital Murder.  Let me see if I can break this down for you.

In order to obtain a conviction for the crime of Capital (1st-Degree) Murder, it is incumbent upon the prosecution to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the accused did knowingly, willfully and with premeditation, take the life of an innocent person.  The prosecution having failed to present sufficient concrete evidence to establish this trifecta, the only possible verdict was, "Not Guilty."  Suspicion is not proof.  Hearsay is not proof.  There simply wasn't enough actual, proveable evidence to establish guilt.

Yes, the whole thing stinks to high heaven.  Yes, my gut feeling--along with, I'm certain, the jurors and most of America--is that she did it.  But the law demands objective facts.  We do not sentence people to death based on a 'gut feeling.'  To do so is not justice, but vigilanteism.



Any system designed by man is necessarily imperfect, because man is imperfect.  Therefore, sometimes, the system fails.  And it sucks when that happens.  But without it, we return to the law of the jungle, and no sane person wants that.

And, hopefully, that's the last thing I'll ever have to post about this whole affair.  Prayers for the souls of all those involved would likely not go amiss.

Meanwhile, 'Project Gunwalkeraka 'Operation Fast and Furiousaka 'WTF Were You Assholes Trying To Accomplish' continues to gather steam.  And it apparently goes very, very high up, and into very illegal territory.  My prayers are with little Caylee, but also with the uncountable numbers of innocent people murdered by drug cartels...with the full consent and collaboration of the United States government.

Midwest Chick lays it down for us.  Whether you're all about the Pray Away the Gay and Young-Earth Creationism, or rockin' the Gender-Neutral Darwinist look, you really might want to read this and engage in some contemplation.

It is not government's place to control the educational process.  School districts will stand or fall on their merits.  If they are teaching their students a curriculum that will get them to college and beyond and that's what the parents want, yippee!  If they choose to not, then over the course of time, either they will, if that's what the locals want, or they will become ghost systems as people either move, homeschool, or start their own schools that will teach their children what the local populace feels is necessary.  If students go into the wide world and find out they've not been given a proper education, they will learn on their own.

When governments become involved in this process, they can't help but include indoctrination into certain mindsets--be they Christian, atheist, gay-friendly, gay-bashing, whatever.  And it's the children that ultimately lose, just like those kids in Atlanta.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
