The founder's views on the 3%

This sort of empty "empire building" was one thing that made the 90s so problematic for the constitutional militia movement, and why I deliberately formulated the Three Percent idea as a movement, an idea, a philosophy and a discipline BUT NOT AN ORGANIZATION. Attempts at large regional, state or national organizations, anything beyond local formations, are subject to infiltration, dysfunction, discredit and collapse. Anyone who tells you different is selling something.

Just sayin'...

The VERY last word on the Stars & Bars

Publicola's rejoinder to the Anarchangel.  Another long one...

Now that you've presumably read it, I disagree with Mr. Byrne's base assertion - that the confederate battle flag is a symbol of hatred towards black folks. I agree that some if not many black people have this view, but in general it's not quite what it seems.

When a person sees the flag that once flew over the Army of Northern Virginia, they don't see it a as symbol of hatred. They see it as a symbol of The South. They view The South as something that represents hatred. They're gravely mistaken, but that's what they see.

What was missed in that very well thought out post is what southerners see, specifically southerners that grew up in the 1960's through 1990's.

Lots of things to think about on both sides.  Make up your own mind.

I thought this was illegal?

Oh yeah--there is no law any more, at least when Leftist murder-for-profit is involved.

I used to be heavily pro-choice.  I've been rethinking my views for the last few years, and this just made me 100% Pro-Freakin'-Life.  And if you really don't see the problem with harvesting the organs of purposely murdered babies, you are seriously disturbed.

The fact that the organs are readily identifiable, marks these as partial-birth abortions, not just 'disposing of a clump of tissue.'   And don't start throwing exceptions at me--the vast majority of abortions are NOT to save the mother's life, nor the result of rape.  They're for convenience.  They're done so that women can let themselves be used carelessly without being 'punished' with the creation of a new human life.

The social conservatives warned us that legalizing abortion would lead to things like this.  They were right, and I was wrong.

I got nothing else coherent--I'm just trying not to completely lose my shit over the fact that so many people really don't seem to see anything wrong with this.  God help us.

Oh, look...

...another Special Little Snowflake!  Of course you're absolutely wonderful and the sun shines out of your ass, and nothing should ever ever happen that makes you feel uncomfortable in the slightest!  You have RIGHTS!

Or not.

No, accusers are not entitled to due process, just like the accused. That’s not what due process is for, not how due process works. While creating the appearance of fairness, a word that inherently appeals to most people, it is not an equivalent situation. One points the finger and the other suffers punishment for it.  They are not equivalent positions, and there is nothing “fair” about it. Nor should there be.
No, free speech does not end when it touches something that offends you, and you have no equivalent right to silence those who are insensitive to your feelings.
No, you have no right to feel safe.  You have no constitutional right. You have no moral right. You have no right at all.  You have a right not to be physically harmed, but your feelings, just like everyone else’s, are fair game for bruising.  No one says you have to suffer in silence. Don’t like how your Columbia professor uses classic literature that “triggers” your unsafe feelz? Go to Dartmouth. Don’t like how other people on the internets call you stupid? Don’t be stupid. Or turn off the computer. Or only click on links to cute kitteh pics.
The guy may be a lawyer, but I won't hold it against him.  ;)

Stupid hurts.

But...but...everyone needs to wrap the world in styrofoam because I raised a non-viable form of life!!

Did you catch the sleight-of hand, there? The dude put the mortar on his head, lit it, and "the accident happened". What accident? The lighter worked, the mortar worked, it was sitting right where he wanted it. Every thing about the whole affair was as on purpose as it gets. Dude killed himself as surely as if he'd stepped in front of a train or suck-started a twelve gauge.

Lady, I'm sorry your kid was an idiot and paid for his idiocy with his life, but just because your kid thought he could breathe water is no reason to make the other kids get out of the pool. Normally I would not speak so to a grieving parent, but you are trying to use the force of law to inflict your grief on everybody else, and that is most uncool.

An idiot-proof world is only fit for idiots.  Just sayin'.

A prayer

Dear Lord, please bless and keep this young man and his family.  Please watch over them, keep them safe from harm, and let young Mr. Pearson's message be spread far and wide in a spirit of peace and unity.  If this divided nation can be healed, it will be through the efforts of courageous people like this.

I ask this in the name of Your living Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Thought for the day:

Rooting for R vs. D is the exact same thing as rooting for Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair.  It's for entertainment purposes only, folks--no one with an ounce of common sense actually believes it's real.
