Something to consider...

I was doing a search on Ted Nugent today, primarily to figure out why a guy who's so pro-America, pro-military and pro-gun would have gone to such horrendous lengths to NOT serve in time of war.  (Mr. Nugent, if these words reach you, I'd surely appreciate an explanation straight from the source.  Just askin.')

During said search, I found this quote:

He speaks about Muslims in a way which, were he to repeat it on globally networked television, might endanger his life.
I want you to think about that.  Very, very carefully.

It's not that Jihadists are necessarily opposed to freedom of speech.  It's just that if you say anything they find offensive, they'll kill you.  Totally different head.  Totally.

This whole Jihadism thing is a far more civilized lifestyle than the Christians practice.  If you say anything derogatory to Christianity, those Jesus-worshipping barbarians might hold a nonviolent protest.  They might even write strongly-worded letters to the editor.  Oh, the humanity!

The nauseating thing about this article is that the author puts this concept out there completely off the cuff--as if there were nothing at all unusual about the concept of an unstated Jihadist threat to murder anyone who opposes their sick death cult.  How do you deal with a mindset like that?

28 June 2011

Head. Wall. Some assembly required.

What is it going to take?  Really, what is it going to take for the Left to divest themselves of their inherent racism and embrace the dream of Dr. King?

I'm sick of this kind of thing.  (Not Ms. Ross' article in itself, but the attitude of ABC.)  Absolutely sick of it.  In case you're brain-damaged, or a Leftist(but I repeat myself), let me spell out the Conservative/Libertarian movement one more time for you.

It's not a White thing.  It's not a Black thing.  It's not a Brown, Red, Yellow, Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Gay, Straight or Bi thing.

It's a logic and reason thing.  It's about what's best for humanity.  It's about what drives every single human being to be the best they can be--and, in turn, inspire others to even further greatness.  If you're stunned that a Black person would embrace Conservatism, that says a lot about you...none of it good.

Sometimes, I wonder why I bother attempting to explain quantum physics to kindergarteners...

BRAAAIIINSS....!!

Robb Allen haz them.

Zombies crave human flesh. They cannot be reasoned with, they cannot be persuaded to consider other food sources, and it doesn’t matter how many charts, statistics, or volumes of facts you can show them to illustrate the error of their ways, they’re going to try to eat your brains. They’ve become so infected with a singular line of thought that their humanity is erased. And because of this, you put them down.

Anti-gunners operate on the same principle. At some point, they believed that by restricting access to firearms across the board that violence would be reduced. While you and I know this to be patently false, it is an honorable position to take if you are unaware of the facts. I mean, who doesn’t want to lower violence? The problem starts when they become so obsessed with their goal that facts and logic become hindrances to them. When they can look at reason and dismiss it, they’ve become evil. Their actions turn zombie like.

I do not fight for gun rights because I like shooting guns. 8 years ago or so, I was pretty much like most of the population. I owned a gun or two, but had no strong feelings about them. Heck, the Robb from 8 years ago would have probably agreed that the ATF was necessary. Today, I fight because I saw the facts, saw the truth, and realized the zombie-hordes of gun controllers for what they were. When gun sales go up, crime does not increase proportionately. The gun on my hip does not force me to commit murder over a parking space. And more importantly, criminals do not follow the law so no matter how many of them you put in place, it will do nothing to slow them down.

RTWT.

25 June 2011

Amen!

Wild Bill (HT A Time For Choosing) gives us his usual straight-shooting view...this time, on Sarah Palin.

24 June 2011

Truth.

Whether you like it or not, here it is.

We all have a common problem. We have an enormous debt problem. We are essentially bankrupt. That's the point. You can be for abortion, gay rights, anti-taxes, or be a religious fanatic. It doesn't matter what you are or what you want. Who you side with. You see, when you are completely bankrupt that becomes the trump issue. It takes precedence. All of these other issues- things you think are important- really aren't. They are secondary issues. Really. In fact, that's why both parties use ancillary issues to distract you. The real issue, the burning ----ing issue that we can't resolve, is the debt issue.

Your chicken---- legislators can't deal with it. The game is over and all we are deciding now is who is going to take the final hit. This Congress or the next one. This President or the next one.

That's why politics is going to have to get brutal. It's about money and bankruptcy. It's about the FED and our debt fueled fiat system of currency. The greatest ponzi scheme ever devised is just about toast. There are no more investors...just a bunch of central banks bailing each other out with unbacked worthless fiat currency. Playing hot potato.

You can ignore reality all you want...but you cannot ignore the consequences of your ignorance.

So now what?

RED ALERT: READ THIS NOW

Double Red Alert
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - June 24, AD 2011 9:01 AM MST

Two HUGE intel leads in my email box this morning from way-back contacts that I've had for years, that are actually somewhat connected concepts.

1. File this one under "Now It All Makes Sense". A Missouri farming and ranching contact just got off a conference call wherein he was informed that the federal government is sending out letters to all of the flooded out farmers in the Missouri River flood plain and bottoms notifying them that the Army Corps of Engineers will offer to BUY THEIR LAND.

Intentionally flood massive acreage of highly productive farmground. Destroy people's communities and homes. Catch them while they are desperate and afraid and then swoop in and buy the ground cheap. Those evil sons of bitches.

2. Speaking of evil sons of bitches, George Soros appears to be "investing" in farmground through the same puppet company that he used to get into the grain elevator and fertilizer business. The company is called Ospraie Capital Management and is buying up farmground in a joint venture with Teays River Investments as a partner. Here is that announcement:

Okay. Here's the connection. This Ospraie outfit was a hedge fund specializing in commodities that was started and run by some cocky child who didn't know how to trade bear markets and got his butt kicked into next week in the grain market of 2008. He also lost a fortune trying to trade RARE EARTH METALS. In fact, it was so bad that he had to shut his fund down because he had promised his investors that he would give them all of their investment money back if the fund lost more than 30% in one year. Whoopsie.
But it appears that Soros swooped in and saved the day because this Ospraie is the "co-investor" with Soros that bought the remnants of ConAgra's trading operation and renamed it . . . Gavilon. In the industry, it is widely acknowledged that Ospraie IS Soros. That three-page article citation is here, copy and paste the URL into your address bar:

As you probably remember, Gavilon just recently bought both DeBruce Grain out of Kansas City and the biggest grain elevator company in the Pacific Northwest, thus making Soros (who is the money behind Gavilon through both his own Soros Fund Management AND his de facto control of Ospraie) the third-largest grain company in the U.S. with 280 million bushels of storage capacity, behind only Archer Daniels Midland (542 million bushels storage capacity) and Cargill (344 million bushels storage capacity). That citation is here:

Bottom line: Soros, through Ospraie, is buying up farmground. Please also note that the hotlink citation above is dated June 26, 2009. My contact says this has been going on for two years - and also remember what I told you about farmground prices inflating wildly, especially in Illinois. I have personally confirmed farmground in Illinois selling for $13,000 per acre within the last month, whereas that same kind of ground in Illinois was going for $5500 per acre the day Obama was inaugurated.

Spread the word.
So, if a 'conspiracy theory' turns out to be proveable, when does it stop being a theory?

Forgiveness

Our Lord and Savior exhorts us to forgive others, if we wish to be forgiven by the Heavenly Father.

Admittedly, when someone has caused you great distress over a period of years and not only doesn't apologize, but doesn't even think they've done anything wrong...that's the hardest thing to forgive.

Do it anyway.

Breaking News: Geert Wilders ACQUITTED!!

Maybe there's hope for Europe after all.

Outside the courtroom, the 47-year-old politician said he was "incredibly happy" with the verdict.

"It's not only an acquittal for me, but a victory for freedom of expression in the Netherlands," he said.

"Now the good news is that it's also legal to be critical about Islam, to speak publicly in a critical way about Islam and this is something that we need because the Islamisation of our societies is a major problem and a threat to our freedom and I'm allowed to say so."

God bless you, Mr. Wilders.

For posterity

God created woman from Adam’s rib.
Not from his head, to top him…
Nor from his foot, to be walked on by him.
But from his side…
To be his equal.
From beneath his arm…
To be protected by him.
And from very near his heart…
To be loved by him.

OK, Libs...let's try this one more time.

"Republican" != "Conservative."

The Establishment utterly rejects conservative policies and the conservative principles of self- reliance, limited government, personal liberties, free enterprise and a strong defense. That is because those principles, and the resulting policies, make ordinary people independent of the government, and by extension, of the Washington establishment (whose members are either members of the federal government, or exercise significant influence over it, or help define its agenda).

And the Washington Establishment hates people whom it doesn’t control. It reviles people who are not dependent on the government, and those who oppose Big Government. The bigger the government, the bigger the establishment’s influence.

The Washington Establishment also believes, pessimistically, that there is no practical alternative to its statist policies; that ordinary Americans are utterly unable to discipline themselves, work for themselves, govern their own families and communities, and behave responsibly. This is also the credo of every liberal.

They truly believe that they, these elite politicians/journalists/pundits/lobbyists who currently govern both parties and both elected branches of the government as well as the media, are the enlightened elite entitled to govern all Americans and impose any diktats on them, and that they always know better, even if there is evidence to the contrary.

Please RTWT and take notes.  I weary of constantly having to explain the difference.

The 'enlightened' Left

Geeze.  First the Dalai Lama describes himself as a Marxist, and now one of America's Big-Time Gurus Of Peace And Enlightenment goes on a whacked-out PDS-induced rant.  Link to Deepak Chopra's original article included in this link to John "The Author Formerly Known As Doctor Zero" Hayward's literary spanking:

This remarkable bit of intellectual flatulence is really directed more at the American public than Sarah Palin.  Every paragraph drips with contempt for the people he thinks will lurch toward Washington like a zombie horde, if the Maid of Wasilla gets into the White House and summons them with her beer bong.

What else can a self-appointed elitist like Deepak Chopra do?  He knows even less about economics than he does about history, so it’s not as if he can write a persuasive article about the wondrous achievements of Obamanomics.  That’s why he took the time to vent his spleen on flyover-country America, and express his dripping contempt for their possible willingness to consider voting for someone who isn’t even running yet.

He and his ilk are faced with the absolute, complete, and comprehensive failure of everything they believe in.  Its ruin is clearly visible all around us.  You’ll see more of this cornered-rat behavior from them, as they are left with no recourse but to hiss their hate and fury at the American people who are preparing to pass judgment on them in 2012, and hope for rescue from the dwindling core of supporters who share their hatreds enough to be blinded by them.

RTWT.  Every day, I'm presented with more and more evidence of how right I was to abandon the Left.

The ramifications of Gunwalker

It has been said that one must never ascribe to malice, what can be adequately explained by stupidity.  If Gunwalker (aka "Operation Fast And Furious") isn't evidence of malice, I don't know what is.

On Gunwalker - The Ultimate False Flag Operation
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - June 17, AD 2011 9:54 AM MST

Yes, I have been watching this closely but it feels like the fit is hitting the shan on this - finally. Obama and Holder are complicit in murder and are engaging in outright treason just within the matrix of Gunwalker alone. Here is a link to a great piece at Pajamas Media that sums it all up - and read the comment thread which is every bit as informative as the article itself.
Click Here for article and comment thread.

Bottom line:

Gunwalker never, ever had ANYTHING to do with drug enforcement or stopping the cartels. NOTHING. The reason that the Obama regime, which we all know is a treasonous Marxist-totalitarian enemy force, executed the Gunwalker program was to create optics (lots of dead Mexican civilians, dead Mexican law enforcement, dead Mexican military and dead Americans) that they could then use to justify the elimination of the Second Amendment via the U.N., specifically the Small Arms Treaty. ATF insiders have reported that the Obama regime was "giddy" that Mexicans were being killed by Gunwalker firearms. This is because these people are Marxists, and as I have said here repeatedly, Marxists lie and murder human beings as policy. Marxists believe that human life has no intrinsic value and that human beings are object pawns that can be used and exterminated without compunction in order to further their own goals and increase their own power. In this case, the goal is to disarm the people of the United States so that the Marxist-Obamaist regime can seize totalitarian, dictatorial power, overthrow the Constitution, and establish a global power matrix. This disarmament will be achieved (or so they think) by using the meme of American omni-culpability. In other words, everything is OUR FAULT.

"See? These Mexicans are dead because of weapons sourced in the U.S. If it weren't for the U.S. and the Second Amendment, none of this would have happened."

Yeah, except the Obama regime specifically handed the weapons in question to the Mexican cartels, and then explicitly FORBADE the ATF agents from interdicting them.

Kids, we have to get our heads around the fact that the Obama regime is an enemy of this nation. They are not "us". They are not "on our side". These people are the sworn, declared enemy of this Republic, its constitution, and every single person who is loyal to the Republic and the constitution. Additionally, any other sovereign nations that are allied with the United States are the ENEMY of the Obama regime, and, conversely, those nations and groups that are enemies of the United States are the allies of the Obama regime. The Obama regime IS THE ENEMY. The Obama regime is the "black flag". They are engaging in operation after operation, be it Gunwalker, cultivated destabilization on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood in more nations than I have fingers, overt support of Marxist factions in Honduras, surrendering Poland to Russia, handing Russia the U.K.'s missile codes, and on and on, that are diametrically opposed to the United States and her allies. All of these actions are being taken IN THE NAME of the United States, but the Obama regime IS NOT the United States. The Obama regime is its own non-American Marxist entity that is in a state of war against the United States, its constitution, its economy and its people. This is the mother of all false flag operations, and Gunwalker is just one facet of that operation.

Watch this carefully. If Issa folds on this, then this iteration of the United States of America will be finished. From there, the only options will be a reboot and upgrade to America 2.0, or a permanent fatal crash.
I've said it before, and I'll say it now...Don't let us down, Darrell.  And once again, thanks to Mike Vanderboegh and all the rest of the patriots who forced this ugliness into the light.

"Public Servants."

That's what they're called.  But has anyone really thought about the concept?  Someone has.

As a public servant, you have no "right" whatsoever to a particular salary, or to a particular job, etc.  If we decide we must lower your pay or dismiss you altogether, your proper response would be something like; "I understand.  Thank you for the opportunity to have served you."  At that point you are free to go your own way and prove your worth in the marketplace as you see fit.  May you live long and prosper.

If you decide, on the other hand, to get hostile about it and start in with the name-calling and the threats, what can We The People conclude about the relationship we've had with you?  Look at me when I'm talking to you!

An amateur analysis of Rep. Weiner

The more I learn about this whole debacle, the more I pity Anthony Weiner.  Because I know how it feels.

Growing up, I was a goofy-looking, slender kid with minimal social skills, no interest in sports, and a name that guaranteed loads of laughter from my peers.  I ended up broken, rageful and determined to prove myself to...who?  Anyone.  Everyone.  Me.  You.  Whoever.  So I drank, smoked, did drugs, gave the bird to polite society, and became such a slut they wouldn't let me visit the Virgin Islands.  Eventually, through the grace of God and wonderful friends, I started dealing with my inner demons.  I won't say I'm cured, but I've come a long way.

Rep. Weiner hasn't.  He's got the Small Man Complex, just as I used to.  He ruthlessly pursues political power, hits the gym and builds himself up as much as possible, and throws himself at any woman who pays him the slightest bit of attention.  Because he's NOT that cringing, confused figure of fun who's beaten up by the boys and turned down by the girls.  He's CONGRESSMAN WEINER, DAMMIT.  He's buff, he's powerful, he's sexy, and goshdarnit, chicks dig him!

Mr. Weiner, please take a good look at yourself, your motivations, your fears, hopes and dreams.  It's not too late to become the person you ought to be.  Whatever you've done, whoever you've been--salvation is possible.  But the first step is to take an honest look at your behavior and sincerely wish to change.  Not because it's politically expedient, but because it's the right thing to do.

Trust me.  Ridding yourself of your past hurts is scary, but ultimately worth it.  I know.

BREAKING NEWS: PALIN EMAIL SHOCKER!!

Hang onto your hats, LSM...the Palin emails are--brace yourselves--about as innocuous as you could possibly get!!!  Not that we told you so or anything.

One in particular is mentioned in Going Rogue...the email concerning little Trig's imminent birth.  It's reposted at ProteinWisdom (welcome to my blogroll, PW) HERE, with commentary that you all need to read now.  (Warning:  An F-bomb or two.)

– This is the Sarah Palin that is revealed here — far from the scheming, manipulative bitch willing to squeeze a slack-jawed political prop from her cooter (or pretend to do so, so that she can cover up that the child is not hers but rather is the illicit love child of her daughter and husband), what resolves here is a portrait of a hard-working, politically savvy governor who is vindicated in nearly every instance from the libels created to diminish her.

It is profoundly saddening to me to reflect on what the media — and many on our own side — have tried to do to this woman, who clearly embodies the very principles conservatives and classical liberals claim to embrace and fight for, and who is clearly (in my mind) qualified to lead this country back from the brink of socialist hell, so comfortable and committed is she to constitutional authority, and so battle-tested is she after having had to endure a 3-year pop-cultural attempt to destroy her and her family.

I hope in their most private moments, Kathy Griffin or Andrew Sullivan or Janeane Garafalo or Jen Rubin — and a host of others I can name — feel wash over them the sudden rush of shame and embarrassment they so richly deserve.
RTWT, and don't neglect the comments.  And, as for the PDS-afflicted morons who wasted enormous amounts of time and effort looking for a "gotcha moment," let me attempt to explain your abject failure.  Most of you likely won't understand any of this, but maybe one or two of you will.

You can't "get" anything on Governor Palin because there's nothing to "get."  Those of you who've spent your lives in a world with no rules or principles, where nothing is what it seems and everyone is hiding some dark secret, simply cannot comprehend that there are good, decent, honest, forthright people in the world.  That not everyone is hiding a swamp of evil behind an insincere smile.  That there are people who mean what they say, and who answer to a higher authority than man's.  You will never be able to comprehend people like Sarah Palin until you look past your oh-so-cool world-weary cynicism and understand that, sometimes, it really is that simple.

I can say this because I used to have the same attitude you all do:  that everything and everybody's corrupt, that standing up for what's right only happens in the movies, that no one is motivated by anything other than fear and greed.  I know better now.  So can you, but you have to learn to look beyond the hurts you've suffered, and the bitterness you carry.  What has your mistrust and cynicism ever brought you except misery?  Why do you wish to destroy a person who's done no harm to anyone?  Why have you rendered yourselves incapable of recognizing Good when it's staring you in the face?  Deep down, you know there are such things as Good and Evil...and at least some small part of you knows the difference.

The first step is to listen to that part.

"I am Sarah Palin."

At the Free Republic, a poster explains why we're Palinistas.

Once upon a time, I was a young soldier in a distant land, doing the things my country bade me do, not because I had been drafted, but because I volunteered - not out of some pretense about duty, but because I saw an opportunity to trade value for value: I would devote my life, and put it at risk as need be, in exchange for certain things that I believed would redound to my eventual benefit. Chief among those things was a country in which I would be free to pursue my loves and my passions and my values. Next were things like a paycheck and an education fund. I don't pretend that mine was a sacrifice. I gained inestimably from the exchange, and I have never ceased to hold my head high, in pride at all the things I accomplished while wearing our nation's uniform.

In much the same way, I'm asking you to volunteer, not out of some sense of duty to me or any of your millions and millions of supporters, or even to a country now gasping and on its knees. I ask you to serve the purposes of your own life, and your own values by rising to take on the fight, a grim and terrible fight, in which you will be the tip of the spear. You already have the heart of a warrior. You're already battle-tested and hardened. You look no less happy for the engagement, and in truth, look at home in your element when embattled.

I believe that the oath I first took in 1983 has no expiration. There is no statute of limitation upon my oath to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The enemies are here. There's no sense pretending otherwise, and while this remains a political war, we must win it lest it become something even more terrible. That is a cost none should wish to pay. Ronald Reagan reminded us that history's lesson is 'peace through strength.' This applies as much within a nation as without.

And the second commenter nails it in one sentence(emphasis mine):

(HT The Last Refuge)
"We’re you. You’re us." Kind of says it all.
"I am Sarah Palin." is an older version of that and I identify with that saying.
This is why the left hates her (and the right’s RINOs).
They hate US.
They hate her.
We are one.
I pray WE show up at the polls to take our country back from THEM.
Damn right.  I am Sarah Palin.  And if you love this country and the principles upon which she was founded...so are you.

Secession: Tempting, but...

I've been toying with the idea, but something about it bothered me.  Not that I wouldn't like the opportunity to de-liberalize America, but I just kept getting this nagging feeling I was overlooking something.

I was.  Ann just pointed it out.  (Well, she pointed it out last year, but I must have missed that one.)

Secession? Nope. It's all-or-nothing.

(Originally posted June 23, AD 2010)
I have received many emails and have heard much talk about the U.S. breaking into two countries - one Constitutional Republic built on a foundation of Judeo-Christian principles consisting of the Mountain, Central and Southern states (essentially a continuation of the original United States of America), and a Marxist-Socialist-Atheist confederation consisting of the Pacific Coast states, the Upper Midwest (IL, MI, WI) and the New England states.

While it is sorely tempting to think about drop-kicking the liberal states and going our seperate ways, the reality is that this would be a MASSIVE mistake, and would almost certainly set in motion a chain of events that would end Western Civilization.

If this sort of "divorce" were to happen, we all know that the New U.S. (NUS) would thrive while the Marxist Confederation (MC) would quickly fail catastophically. When that failure happened, the MC would come begging to the NUS to bail it out. Now, you might be thinking, "Screw 'em. They made their bed, now they can sleep in it. They'll get no help from us." That's a knee-jerk reaction, and it would be the WRONG reaction. Why? Because if the NUS turned down the MC's requests for help, who would be the ONLY other nation capable of bailing out the MC? China. And as we should all understand with crystal clarity, the liberals in the MC states would be, without question, idiotic enough to actually INVITE the Chinese to take over their economy, and eventually their land - purely as a "peacekeeping force" to control the food shortage riots, you understand. So, in order to stave off Chinese involvement in North America, we would have to bail the MC out anyway. It's a textbook "damned if you do, damned if you don't".

In the event of a divorce wherein the NUS didn't prop up the MC, the ports of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle would be completely vulnerable, and eventually would be thrown wide open to a cold invasion. The same could also be said for the East Coast ports. Boston, New York and Washington D.C. would be vulnerable and/or invite a "peacekeeping force" from the U.N., probably led by Russia. Now we need to talk military tactics. Assume that what I have just laid out actually came to pass. The NUS and Constitutionalist refugees from the MC states are now compressed into the geographic center of the continent. To the west lies the Chinese Army. To the east lies the UN/Russian army.

This is called a "Strategic Flanking". In fact, this would be the largest strategic flanking in world history. To be "flanked" is very, very bad. If you are fighting any sort of battle, you want to keep your adversary in front of you at all times and your sides CLEAR. You must NEVER allow the adversary to move along your sides (flanks). Combat tacticians are CONSTANTLY looking for a way to move their troops in such a way so that they "gain the flanks". Once a force loses its flanks, it becomes nearly impossible (without a massive advantage in weaponry) to escape. The most famous tactical flanking in history was executed by Hannibal at the Battle of Cannae in 216 BC. With fewer than 40,000 men, Hannibal drew the Roman army of 90,000 men into his center, and then wrapped around their flanks on both sides, thus forming a semi-circle around the Romans. By doing this, Hannibal was able to COMPLETELY DESTROY the Roman army with fewer than HALF the number of men.

The most famous strategic flanking to date is probably the flanking of Nazi Germany by the Soviet army to the east and the Allies to the west. While this involved the entire European continent, the flanking I describe above on the North American continent would dwarf the Nazi flanking in size and scope. It is not hard to imagine a massive Chinese force pushing and compressing the NUS from the west, eventually wrapping around the northern flank, with a UN/Russian force compressing from New England in a southwesterly direction, pushing the people of the NUS south towards the Gulf of Mexico, and utter defeat.

Given these obvious tactical realities, I hope that one and all now see that the UNION MUST BE PRESERVED. The United States of America MUST remain intact from "sea to shining sea". It is all-or-nothing for us. Amicable divorce is NOT an option. We can not allow Marxism to establish any quarter, even in the spirit of "compromise" and the avoidance of possible hostilities, because that "compromise" and "avoidance" would be to sign our own death warrants, and the death warrant of Western Civilization. It would be far better to fight a war of national preservation than to fight a war against a conquering Sino-Russian invasion.

How sick is it that I have to post this crap? I'm a 34 year old single woman. I should be planning my next business move, or thinking about recreational travel. Instead, I'm standing here, mid-morning on a Friday, writing essays on secession dynamics and military tactics for the North American theater. This is the living, breathing definition of FUBAR. God save us.

I beg to differ with her final paragraph.  With courage and intellect like hers on our side, things are a lot less FUBAR than they might appear.

A call for peace

Mr. Titus claims that he is the subject of death threats from those who take exception to his recent "jokes."

I usually take the claims of Hollywood types with a truckload of salt.  But if any of my fellow Palinistas are actually doing this, I beg you to stop immediately.

We are not assassins.  We are not haters.  We are better than that.  This kind of crap is what our opponents do.  Do not hate Mr. Titus.  With a modicum of research, you will discover some of the things that have made him so bitter and angry, and we can hardly fault him for that.

Just pray for him.  It will do far more good for him and America, than calling for his head.

The Palin Policies

I have had it up to my eyeballs with the constant lies.  Over and over, fools continue to claim that Governor Palin has no concept of (fill in the blank) and has no idea how to deal with (fill in the blank) and so on.

Before you try pulling that nonsense around here, take a look at this neatly labelled and categorized collection of all her announced views, strategies and plans to date.  (This is now permanently available in my sidebar.)

Then, either come up with something truthful and intelligent to criticize about Gov. Palin, or STFU.

Counterintuitive, but it works

Any other Bloggers having the same issues I did, try this.  When you get the email/password box, leave the 'remember me' box UNchecked.

It works.  No, I don't know why.

Zo vs. Schultz.

The outcome is a foregone conclusion.

Well done, Mr. Rachel.

An open letter to Christopher Titus

Mr. Titus, believe it or not, I feel for you.  You've suffered a whole lot in your life, much of it unjustly.  I understand how that can make you bitter, and at least you've been able to turn much of that anger to a productive endeavor.  I admire and respect that part of you.

However, I am greatly disturbed by your recent remarks.  If they were meant in the spirit of your usual dark and snarky comedy, you failed greatly.

Blogger...your time is running out.

I can't comment on any Blogger blog, including my own.  Not even anonymously.

You have two weeks to fix this state of affairs, or I'm going elsewhere.

That is all.

Something we need more of.

A bullying bank finds out they are, in fact, not above the law.  Hijinks ensue.

Florida homeowners Maurenn Nyergers and her husband paid for their home in cash, and never took out a mortgage, so when Bank of America filed foreclosure papers on the house, they took the bank to court, and won. And when Bank of America wouldn’t pay their legal fees — as it was ordered to by the court — their attorney, Todd Allen, decided to seize its assets, in person, with movers and sheriff’s deputies in tow.
Well done.  Now, let's apply this same principle to the scum currently infesting DC, shall we?

(Full disclosure:  BoA are the ones that never sent me a CC bill and then said that since I didn't pay the bill they never sent me, that my interest rate was being jacked up to seven billion percent per minute.  And, when I went to consolidation...guess who owns the consolidation company?

F*ck BoA.  They're a bunch of crony-capitalist dickheads who just need to die.  May Mrs. Nyergers and her attorney drive them out of business, and soon.)

Geert Wilders

A man on trial for violating the laws of Political Correctness.  The laws which condemn racism, misogyny and homophobia...unless these things are practiced by Muslims, in which case, speaking out against them is an offense worthy of prison.

I publish his closing remarks below.  Study them carefully, as trials like this may well be seen here in our lifetimes.
