So, there's this one guy...

I'm going to say a few things here that may be cryptic to some of my readers.  If you don't get it, don't worry about it.

I've always had a funny feeling about this person.  He claims to be a Patriot, but there always seemed something suspicious about him.  I couldn't quite put my finger on it, however, and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.  Being a Christian, and trying to be a man of honor, I do not want to bear false witness, even mistakenly.  So I'll just post my observations here and let you draw your own conclusions.

This man runs a blog on Blogger--a public and unsecured site.

He associates with a known con man who claims to be a "chaplain," even though this 'reformed' con man was cold busted running a con mere days after he claimed to have come to Christ(Hell is REALLY unpleasant, buddy, and it lasts FOREVER).

He's posted a number of polls asking questions like "How well trained are you?"  "Do you have military experience?"  "Are you a team or a lone wolf?"  "How many Patriots in your AO?"  "How quick can you muster?"  On Blogger--a public and unsecured site.  This is intel that does not need to be shared online.

No matter how good you think you are at IT security, the Forces of Evil are better.  The instant you answer those questions, they know immediately who you are, where you are and what you said.  Only a truly stupid man would do that, and--as you can tell from this man's writing--he is not stupid.

Just sayin'...

Desert island punditry

Commentators, pundits and political junkies across the nation and around the world are dissin' on The Donald pretty much nonstop.  They can't understand why so many people support him.  In the case of folks like Matt Walsh, they're positively angry that the Trumpsters supposedly 'aren't taking the political process seriously.'

I love ya, Matt, but that's like saying we're not taking a Monty Python movie seriously.  "I would have liked to think that conservatives wouldn’t fall for the Obama Cult of Personality shtick, but they have."  Dude, for real?  Is that what you think this is about?  Not even close.

I might point out that Mr. Trump has actually built a successful business empire by creating products and services that people wanted to buy, not by force, graft and shadowy donations.  I might point out that Mr. Trump doesn't really care what the Mushroom Media thinks of him, and is actually capable of breaking wind without consulting 27 polls first.  I might point out that Mr. Trump is seen as something new and different in an era of worn-out sequels like 'Clinton On K Street II' and 'Night Of The Living Bush III.'  I'm certain that these things are important to some of the Trumpsters, but I feel safe in saying that many of them don't really care about any of this.

We've simply recognized reality:  The American political process is corrupt to the core.  It's nothing but a dog-and-pony show, and we're NOT voting our way out of this.  PERIOD(no debate pun intended).   Let me illustrate in pictures, for those of you who don't quite get it:

And we've basically given up on folks like yourselves who still cling to this farce.  You remind us of the Japanese soldiers they kept finding on desert islands all the way up into the 21st Century, still fighting World War II, absolutely certain that the Land of the Rising Sun would never surrender to a bunch of round-eyed barbarians.  Even if Mr. Trump--or whoever wins--turns out to be the Second Coming of Ronald Reagan, it's too late.  It is now both culturally and mathematically impossible to reverse this kamikaze dive we're in.  Short of a miracle straight from the Lord our God, it can't be done. And considering our actions over the past couple of generations, He damn sure doesn't owe us any favors.

The war for liberty in America is over.  We lost.  All we can do now is accelerate the collapse and prepare to come out fighting on the other side.  And in the meantime, if we can enjoy the spectacle of Statist Party D, Statist Party R and the Mushroom Media all losing their tiny little minds over being told that at least one person simply doesn't give a fart in a windstorm what they think, that's pretty awesome.  If we'd had more of that attitude over the past few decades, America might have survived.

In the meantime, let it burn and pass the marshmallows.

The founder's views on the 3%

This sort of empty "empire building" was one thing that made the 90s so problematic for the constitutional militia movement, and why I deliberately formulated the Three Percent idea as a movement, an idea, a philosophy and a discipline BUT NOT AN ORGANIZATION. Attempts at large regional, state or national organizations, anything beyond local formations, are subject to infiltration, dysfunction, discredit and collapse. Anyone who tells you different is selling something.

The VERY last word on the Stars & Bars

Publicola's rejoinder to the Anarchangel.  Another long one...

Now that you've presumably read it, I disagree with Mr. Byrne's base assertion - that the confederate battle flag is a symbol of hatred towards black folks. I agree that some if not many black people have this view, but in general it's not quite what it seems.

When a person sees the flag that once flew over the Army of Northern Virginia, they don't see it a as symbol of hatred. They see it as a symbol of The South. They view The South as something that represents hatred. They're gravely mistaken, but that's what they see.

What was missed in that very well thought out post is what southerners see, specifically southerners that grew up in the 1960's through 1990's.

Lots of things to think about on both sides.  Make up your own mind.

I thought this was illegal?

Oh yeah--there is no law any more, at least when Leftist murder-for-profit is involved.

I used to be heavily pro-choice.  I've been rethinking my views for the last few years, and this just made me 100% Pro-Freakin'-Life.  And if you really don't see the problem with harvesting the organs of purposely murdered babies, you are seriously disturbed.

The fact that the organs are readily identifiable, marks these as partial-birth abortions, not just 'disposing of a clump of tissue.'   And don't start throwing exceptions at me--the vast majority of abortions are NOT to save the mother's life, nor the result of rape.  They're for convenience.  They're done so that women can let themselves be used carelessly without being 'punished' with the creation of a new human life.

The social conservatives warned us that legalizing abortion would lead to things like this.  They were right, and I was wrong.

I got nothing else coherent--I'm just trying not to completely lose my shit over the fact that so many people really don't seem to see anything wrong with this.  God help us.

Oh, look...

...another Special Little Snowflake!  Of course you're absolutely wonderful and the sun shines out of your ass, and nothing should ever ever happen that makes you feel uncomfortable in the slightest!  You have RIGHTS!

Or not.

No, accusers are not entitled to due process, just like the accused. That’s not what due process is for, not how due process works. While creating the appearance of fairness, a word that inherently appeals to most people, it is not an equivalent situation. One points the finger and the other suffers punishment for it.  They are not equivalent positions, and there is nothing “fair” about it. Nor should there be.
No, free speech does not end when it touches something that offends you, and you have no equivalent right to silence those who are insensitive to your feelings.
No, you have no right to feel safe.  You have no constitutional right. You have no moral right. You have no right at all.  You have a right not to be physically harmed, but your feelings, just like everyone else’s, are fair game for bruising.  No one says you have to suffer in silence. Don’t like how your Columbia professor uses classic literature that “triggers” your unsafe feelz? Go to Dartmouth. Don’t like how other people on the internets call you stupid? Don’t be stupid. Or turn off the computer. Or only click on links to cute kitteh pics.
The guy may be a lawyer, but I won't hold it against him.  ;)

Stupid hurts.

But...but...everyone needs to wrap the world in styrofoam because I raised a non-viable form of life!!

Did you catch the sleight-of hand, there? The dude put the mortar on his head, lit it, and "the accident happened". What accident? The lighter worked, the mortar worked, it was sitting right where he wanted it. Every thing about the whole affair was as on purpose as it gets. Dude killed himself as surely as if he'd stepped in front of a train or suck-started a twelve gauge.

Lady, I'm sorry your kid was an idiot and paid for his idiocy with his life, but just because your kid thought he could breathe water is no reason to make the other kids get out of the pool. Normally I would not speak so to a grieving parent, but you are trying to use the force of law to inflict your grief on everybody else, and that is most uncool.

An idiot-proof world is only fit for idiots.  Just sayin'.

A prayer

Dear Lord, please bless and keep this young man and his family.  Please watch over them, keep them safe from harm, and let young Mr. Pearson's message be spread far and wide in a spirit of peace and unity.  If this divided nation can be healed, it will be through the efforts of courageous people like this.

I ask this in the name of Your living Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Thought for the day:

Rooting for R vs. D is the exact same thing as rooting for Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair.  It's for entertainment purposes only, folks--no one with an ounce of common sense actually believes it's real.

The Last Word on the Stars & Bars

The Anarchangel gives us an exceedingly well-thought analysis on the whole Confederate Flag debacle, and how both sides are simultaneously right and wrong.  Grab a beverage, it's long...

Yup, this is going to piss EVERYONE off... Which is OK, because hard to hear but important stuff does that.

Stay with me here... Don't just turn your outrage on and your brain off... Actually read and think about what I'm writing here OK?

"Both sides" of this issue, please, just read all the way through,  don't just react... because I'm going to piss EVERYONE off on this one... and I really mean that... Black, white, southern, northern, liberal, conservative... whatever... This post is probably going to piss you off at some point.

...but well worth reading and thinking about, if you honestly want to help put this issue to bed.  Of course, if your sole delight lies in "Being Right" and you don't actually give a damn about anything except shoving your own opinion down peoples' throats, well, as the man says, it's probably going to piss you off.

It's been done on purpose.

Call me a tinfoil-hat weirdo(you will--you always do), but I've come to think there's something sinister behind the pussifcation of America in recent decades:

Do you really think that children who are terrified by someone pointing his finger and saying “bang” are going to lead the revolution against tyranny? No, they will cower in their tiny apartments, hoping that if they behave well enough, they’ll continue to be fed.

Do you think our ancestors who fought in the revolutionary war were afraid to climb a tree or get dirty?

Those of us who grew up this way (and who raise our children to be fearless) are the resistance against a coddled, helmeted, non-offending society that aims for a dependant populace. In a country that was built on rugged self-reliance, we are now the minority.

RTWT, and follow the links.  When did camping become child endangerment?  How did cutting one's food become a felony?  What's the impetus behind this disturbing trend...

...and who, ultimately, benefits?

OW! Beer in sinuses...

I was quoting part of this post to Mrs Wraith:

Me:   "Personally, I’d like to divide them into two teams and put them on “Hell’s Kitchen,” because that would tell us more about them than a bunch of “debates,” which are really nothing more than interviews with scripted questions and scanned answers."

Mrs. Wraith:  But can you imagine their risotto?  Ew.

And this is why I married her.  :)

Please help.

No, not me.  And unless people really pony up, this isn't going to be solved with a GoFundMe or Kickstarter page.

I ask you all this in the name of truth, justice and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ--spread this far and wide until we can find proper legal representation for this woman who's not only being kicked while she's down by our 'justice' system, she's being run over repeatedly by a tank.

I find it so interesting that my pastor spoke on the church of Smyrna today in church.  We are studying the seven churches mentioned in the first part of the Book of Revelation right now.  I was feeling.. well, kinda low today.  I didn’t want to see anyone right now.  I get sick of explaining my circumstance to people who either can’t understand or don’t want to understand.  (For those who are only now signing onto my blog, I am being sued for slander against a colonel who raped me when I attended West Point in 1986 and now claims it never happened.  The suit is for the ridiculous sum of $3 million.)  And even if they want to help, can’t.  It is a mutual burden, not a conversation.  So I stayed home today and decided to catch the sermon online- pretty nice as I could do it with my puppy in lap, regaled in full pajama, coffee in hand.  See, I just lost my last hearing concerning my lawsuit this past week.  I must say that I am rather stunned and have been rolling it about in my mind.  I have been considering how to break it to my readers.  How do I tell thousands of people that God didn’t swoop in and save me as we all thought he would?  How do I tell them that Jesus’ words concerning standing in court and having the Holy Spirit fill our minds and bodies with the right words didn’t come true?  How do I tell them that God’s name was shamed and not honored in court?  That my enemies were licking their lips in satisfaction and gloating, patting their fat, evil stomachs in glee- at my expense, but also at Jesus’ name’s expense?  How can I express how that last part angers me?  Oh, yes, I know they are reading this and with further glee.  And that makes it all the more difficult to communicate the truth to you.  Just doing so satisfied their evil little putrid minds.

Can I tell you that I never thought I would be taken down in this way?  I have written about homosexuality, gay marriage,  Obama, progressives, Mormons, Jesus, liberals, NDAA2012, the Cybersecurity Bill, the fact that all American media is owned by seven privately owned financial groups, that 80% of digital voting machines are owned by one man and his brother.  I wrote about Sandy Hook and was one of the first ones to call it a set up.  That one article brought over 2 million hits (almost all hate mail) to my site.    I have exposed people by name on this blog- I have proven, without a doubt, that these things are true.  Granted, I am small and few people have heard of me.  But I have felt the brunt of liberal wrath in any case.  I have laughed at so many creepy cretins that have crawled upon my page that I was sure that one day, a cretin would find a backer with some power.   Facebook worried enough that it attempted to shut down my page once and almost succeeded.  In fact, it has partially succeeded to this day by shutting down my ability to advertise my page.  Further, it has killed my ability to post on my Short Little Rebel page thereby killing it for all practical purposes.  When I post, about 3 people receive it although I have over 6,000 likes.  It has also refused to index my Short Little Rebel facebook page to Google, Yahoo or any other search engine.  In fact, if you every google ‘short little rebel’, you will only find the liberal hate pages dedicated to mocking me on facebook.  Even though they only have about 200 likes or less.    So I kinda figured that when the hammer came, it would come from one of those directions.   But no, the cretins are still just writhing impotently upon their own tiny…,um,.. pages, hopping about with glee as they live vicariously through me.  (note, like all liberals, they are complete hypocrites- they are cheering on the would-be general and hating the woman who was raped.  yeah, watch the liberals call the rape victim a liar and say the would be general and the military are the good guys…oh-kaaayyy…  liberalism is not the bastion of logic or intelligence- you can’t reason with these numbnuts.)

Instead, it came from the slanderous direction of the U.S. Army and one of its colonels.  And how do you like that?  I was raped and was merciful to my rapist.  I never brought charges.  Instead, I turned to God.  I owned one thing, however, and that was his name.  It was he that should bear the shame, not me.  I didn’t do wrong, he did.  Rape is a crime committed by the man, Friends.  It is about power, not attraction.  You can’t dress sexy enough or act sexy enough to ‘deserve’ rape.  No one can shame a woman into ‘deserving’ to be raped.  The reason I say this man’s name when I speak of my rape is to put the blame on him, not me.  This is part of my healing and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life.  He is the criminal and I am the victim.  That fact will remain between us until we die- and even beyond- for we will both be judged by God himself.   No court, no judge, no lawyer can remove the crime.  I repeat, no one can remove the factuality of the crime.  It remains as a bloodstain upon this man forever.  Edgar Allen Poe wrote about this spot as did Shakespeare- this ‘damn spot’ will never come out.  Man’s court is not the ultimate court.  That is what I have learned since Friday’s hearing.

RTWT.  In the name of all that's holy, let's find her some help.  This is a sick perversion of any concept of justice or fairness.  Someone out there can make this right--let's find them.

Intellectual ammunition

Anyone concerned about the encroachment of Islam upon civilization would do well to explore this post and the accompanying links.

It is not 'racist,' 'xenophobic' or 'h8' to oppose Islamic doctrine.  It is, in fact, defense of our lives, our souls and our civilization.

Think homeschooling is too much trouble?

Try it while jamming gears across the country.  Of course, this was a recipe for failure, since Kerry Anderson went from participating in a useful profession to attending some Ivy League propaganda mill.  But I guess some will find this interesting:

Ms. ANDERSON: A lot of our schooling actually as integrated into what she was doing. When we know where we were going, Texas to California, for instance, we had to map out the mileage. We had to map out when we had to fuel, how fast we were going to be going, where we needed to stop, rest areas, all of that kind of thing, what our fuel mileage was going to be.
That's how she got us going on a lot of it. And then there was a program that we mailed things in. So we did it at our leisure, basically.
NORRIS: So you did it right there in the cab of the truck?
Ms. ANDERSON: Yes.
NORRIS: And was your mother someone who had a teaching background? This sounds like it was a bit of an adventure for her, too.
Ms. ANDERSON: It absolutely was. She did not have an education background, but she knew that we but she wanted us to do very well academically, and so she took it upon herself to make sure we did.
NORRIS: So when you actually transferred first to Valencia Community College and then later on to Harvard, it must have been almost boring to sit in a classroom.

Yeah, homeschooling is way too inconvenient.  Better to leave your kids in the care of Real Professionals, who give them important and relevant coursework.

A blast from the past

Both her Blogger and Wordpress blogs seeming to be defunct, I shall repost this awesome story in full.  Just in case, ya know.

Submitted for your inspection, the story...of Jim.

This is the story of Jim. Jim was an average young man in an average American town. He earned above-average grades in high school, and went on to attend an average American college. Jim's parents, while not destitute, were in no position to help him with finances, so Jim worked full-time at an average college job to support himself, riding his bike to school, then to work, and then back to his far-below-average studio apartment to study, eat average college food, and fall asleep. The next day began the whole process again.

One day, while Jim was enjoying a rare free moment, his uncle paid him a surprise visit. Jim's uncle was a wealthy man, though no one quite knew what he did to amass his fortune. He entered the tiny rented room with a warm greeting, and sat on the edge of the bed. After exchanging pleasantries and small talk, Jim's uncle asked if there was anything he could do to make Jim's life easier. Jim didn't want to impose, so he politely declined. Jim's uncle pressed his point, saying, "Jim, I've known you for longer than you remember, and it pains me to see you having to struggle this way. Here," and he pulled a small black card out of his jacket pocket. Jim tried to refuse, but his uncle insisted. "Use this as you see fit," he said to the young man. They talked awhile longer about various family members and Jim's classes, and then, after affectionate goodbyes, Jim's uncle left.

Jim followed his uncle to the door, and shut it after him. He then turned over the small black card in his hand. It was a credit card. . . sort of. There was a sixteen-digit number on it and a magnetic strip , but no expiration date, no name, no logo, not even a signature bar. Just a wholly unremarkable, glossy black card. Jim wondered how it could even work, and then decided that he would not find out. He was determined to go it on his own, just like his parents had taught him. "Earn what you get, or there's no joy in having it," his father liked to say. Jim went to throw the card away, but hesitated. It couldn't hurt, after all, to have options, could it? That's really all he was doing, was being careful, he told himself as he put the card in his desk.

For months, Jim rarely even thought of the card. Then, one day he noticed a letter from the college in his stack of mail. Times had grown tough not just for Jim, but for everybody, and money was tight all around. Though Jim had carried his above average grades with him to college, they were no longer enough to maintain his scholarship. Jim sat crumpled in his chair, head in hands. He would have to delay his schooling and spend the next semester saving for the following term. The thought was not at all appealing -- hadn't he suffered enough? He worked his heart out and sacrificed so much; how could this happen? Suddenly, that little black card loomed large in Jim's mind. Surely it wouldn't hurt to use it for his living expenses. Not luxury items -- just the stuff he was already using. Then he would work even harder, improve his grades so he could get his scholarship back, and then put the card away. Other students lived on credit -- was it really so wrong?

Jim put his plan into action, knowing full well that he might regret it when the bill came. He determined he would cross that bridge when he came to it. He was a little nervous the first time he swiped the little black card, but it worked just fine. All he needed to do was sign. He stayed true to his word, using his credit judiciously. A month passed. Then two. Jim checked every day, but no bill came to him. Worried, he called his uncle. "Don't worry about it, my boy, it's all taken care of," Jim's uncle reassured him. "But..." Jim started to protest, but his uncle cut him off: "It's all taken care of. I meant what I said -- use it as you see fit. I'll tell you what: I'll arrange with your employer to automatically deduct payments from your paycheck, alright?" This eased Jim's mind, and he let the matter go.

In the ensuing months, Jim came to rely on the card more and more. He asked his boss to move him to part-time hours: With all his needs paid for, he could start focusing on his wants, and one of those was more leisure time. The money he earned could also go to wants, rather than needs. Jim felt as if the weight of the world had been removed from his shoulders. His wants, however, soon outstripped his income, and he found himself pulling out that little black card more and more often. The card seemed to have no limit; though his purchases grew progressively larger, the card was never declined.

Jim was coming out of the store after one of his larger purchases when he saw a man standing at a nearby intersection holding a cardboard sign. Jim walked over to talk to the man, and found that the man, Andrew, had fallen on hard times. He had lost his job, could not find another one, and had a family to feed, so he stood on the corner begging strangers for money. Andrew's story troubled Jim; he'd experienced hard times himself, and could not imagine having to face unemployment with a family to feed. Jim quickly told Andrew about his little black card, and offered to use it for Andrew's family's expenses as well. Andrew, overcome with emotion, threw his arms around Jim and sobbed thanks into his shoulder.

Word of the miraculous card spread quickly, and soon Jim was inundated with requests for help. Some seemed more legitimate than others, but who was he to judge? Jim accepted them all, and it seemed that in no time half of the town was dependent on the card Jim's uncle had given to him. Jim was thrilled that he could help so many people. Gone were his days of counting change for food; now, because of him, those days were gone for so many others, too. "This," Jim thought to himself one night, "is freedom."

Jim's philanthropic ventures weren't the only thing on his mind. There was a young lady he'd met in class. Sharla. She was beautiful, intelligent, kind -- everything Jim was looking for. And, though he could hardly believe it, she reciprocated his feelings. It wasn't long until he had a ring on her finger. Money no longer being an object, he made sure that their wedding was everything she had ever wanted. He thought nothing could have made him happier, but he had to admit he was wrong on that point on the day that Sharla gave birth to their first child, a darling baby boy who they called Sam.

Sam was just a few days old, sleeping in his mother's arms in their comfortable home, when there came a knock at the door. Jim ran to answer it and found a delivery man standing there with a package. Jim signed for the package, thanked the man, and went back in the house. He turned the box over to see not his name, or Sharla's, but Sam's. Thinking it was a gift for the new baby, he opened it. He was puzzled to find not gifts, but a stack of official-looking pages. He grabbed the first one and began to read.

Jim could feel the blood draining from his face. His hands began to shake. This had to be wrong, this could not be possible. He raced for the phone, punched in his uncle's number, and demanded that the old man get there NOW. Jim paced the floor while he waited, unable to continue perusing the pages in the box. Not possible. Not possible.

Jim's uncle knocked on the door in short order. Jim nearly wrenched the door off its hinges, grabbed his uncle by the arm, dragged him to the box, and thrust the first paper into his face. "How?" bellowed Jim. "How is this possible?!"

Jim's uncle stepped back, stroked his white goatee thoughtfully, and calmly said, "Jim, I told you it was taken care of. You never asked how."

Jim's eyes grew wide. "How could you do this to me? To him? My son, he's just a baby! How on earth can he pay this off?" Another thought gripped Jim, turning him paler still. "Half the town is living on this card! They depend upon it! I can't just cut them off! But if I don't..." His sentence trailed off as he stared in anguish at his son, who had somehow slept through Jim's outburst.

Jim's uncle nodded gravely. "I'll tell you what, Jim. I can help you with this problem as well." He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out another card, just like Jim's, but with a different number on it. "Give him this when he's of age."

Jim was flabbergasted. "You cannot be serious," he said. Another thought occurred to him, and he grasped at it like a drowning man lunging for a piece of driftwood. "What about the payments that were being taken from my paychecks?"

Jim's uncle laughed. "My boy, surely you don't believe you made this much?!"

"Well, no," admitted Jim, clinging to this last tiny piece of hope, "but it's got to count for something, right?"

Jim's uncle laughed again. "My boy," he said again, slightly shaking his head from side to side, "how do you think I've made my fortune?" He stuffed the second card into his stunned nephew's hands, nodded to an equally stunned Sharla, and escorted himself out, leaving a horrified silence in his wake.

And now I will ask you the question that was surely running laps around Jim's beleaguered mind: If you have to steal from and enslave your own children to achieve it, can you truly call it freedom?

Fortunately, this story is fiction.  After all, this sort of abandonment of common sense could never be possible in the real world.  An entire nation could only subscribe to this sort of twisted logic...

...in the Twilight Zone.

Of kit cars and Bruce Jenner

OK, now...that wasn't a weird title or anything.

I've been going around and around with various people concerning the whole transgender thing.  Let me spell it out for you so you know where I stand.

Do I believe that a person can have more of the opposite gender in their brain/soul than their own gender?  Yes.

Do I believe that said person is a human being and a child of God, and should not be hassled, demonized or otherwise screwed with?  Yes.

Do I believe that a person can actually change from one gender to another?  No.

Since the entire country is now all about The Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner thing, we shall use him as an example.

First off, I don't really believe that Mr. Jenner is actually transsexual.  Ann Barnhardt, of all people, pointed out the obvious problem with this quote

"I am not gay. As far as I know, I am heterosexual. I've never been with a guy, I've always been married, raising kids."

(As far as you know?  You'd think after six decades, you'd have kind of figured out what you're attracted to.  It didn't take me a third as long to realize that I love plush women, and that's almost as stigmatized as being gay.)  Back to the subject, Ann's response was dead-on:

Um, if Jenner actually believed on even the shallowest level that he was a “woman trapped in a man’s body”, dontcha think he might say something like “I’m a lesbian”?

Yeah, pretty much.  A real MTF transsexual, if there be such, would have said exactly that.  So I tend to doubt the veracity of his claims.  However, even if I'm wrong, "sexual reassignment surgery" is not the panacea its proponents claim it to be*, and, in all honesty, it's an oxymoronic phrase.

Most of you probably aren't gearheads, although, given my mostly conservative readership, I may be wrong on that.  For those of you who haven't heard of kit cars, let me explain.

A kit car is a set of body panels, an interior and a host of other parts that you can graft to the chassis of a donor vehicle to make it look different.  Although there have been kits based around almost any widely-available platform, the most common donor was a VW Beetle, so we'll use that for our example.  You can make that old Beetle look like this(awesome), or this(made entirely of awesome with a side of awesome fries), or anything you can think of.  You can tweak and alter that body so that only the most hardcore, bleeds-motor-oil car freak would notice that things are not what they seem.

But it's still a VW Beetle.

No matter what it looks like, it's not a Porsche 917.  It's not an MG-TD.  It's a Volkswagen Beetle.  It's licensed and registered as a Volkswagen Beetle.  It's got the powertrain and performance of a Volkswagen Beetle.  It can't be anything else, no matter what you make it look like.

When "sexual reassignment surgery" can give a former woman a working penis and testes, or a former man a uterus and ovaries, and can either add or eliminate that Y chromosome, then I'll have no problem believing that one gender can 'transition' to another.  Until then, the whole concept is simply denying objective reality.  Until then, these people have not 'transitioned,' they have been castrated and/or mutilated.  These people are not being 'helped,' they are being reinforced in their delusions by people with, IMNSHO, a very sinister agenda.

So now you know my take on things.  HTH.

UPDATE:  So I wasn't mistaken--we really are bowing and scraping to the insane.

Example 7: A man who had his features surgically altered to (sort of) resemble a woman proclaims himself “the new normal.” No, it’s not normal. It is something than can be tolerated or accepted, but it is not normal. [Body Dysmorphic Disorder] But we are ordered not only to pretend it is normal, but to celebrate his “courage.” And anyone who refuses to buy into the delusion that a person with a penis is a woman is equated to a Klansman or a Nazi.

Good to know.

*  Remember, this study is in Sweden.  The most PC, tolerant, accepting environment for folks with sexual issues that you'll ever encounter.  "Social Oppression" fails as an argument here.

A picture of stupid...

OK...so what, exactly, is there in this list that we don't support?

Humanity, civility, democracy and reason are all parts of a civilized society.  They can only be found in a civilized society.  And a civilized society is created and maintained by obedience to the rule of law(ie; the Constitution), and the means to enforce that obedience(ie; an armed populace).

This picture is made of so much I-don't-get-it that it's about to reach critical mass.  Not to mention using a bare foot to step on a rattlesnake--that takes the sort of stupid that knows what the windows on the short bus taste like.

UPDATE:  OTOH, if you read it like this..."Humanity, civility, democracy, reason--LET'S TREAD ON THEM!"

...suddenly it makes a lot more sense.  But I'm pretty sure that isn't how it was meant.

Amen.

Dethguild hosts Bill Quick's official Coming-Out Party(kinda):

Bill Quick’s homosexuality been highly transparent for a very long time – and to be honest, it does not appear he put any real effort to hiding the fact. He never openly advertised it, but at the same time, Bill didn’t exactly cower quivering in the closet either. Which is simply being polite. After all – mature adults don’t need to brag about “shagging the Mrs.” last night. Sex happens in relationships. It’s a given, and frankly, it’s largely unworthy of outside merit.

So, for us, the Presidential Pomeranian has been out of the bag for some time – and, our reaction was, is… and shall continue to be… nothing. Our family may be devout Christians, but who the hell are we to chuck boulders? Know this: Every damn one of us wallows in all manner of sin daily. Any self-righteous “fundie” barking otherwise needs to spend some serious time absorbing rather than “reciting” the scripture they claim to hold dear. We believe the operating phrase is “let he without sin cast the first stone” Near as we can tell, not one human strutting around on the face of this damn rock meets the sniff-test on that one.

The nuts and bolts of the matter is, nobody is going to be lock-step one-hundred percent in agreement on every ideological issue. Ever. But William T. Quick stands true on the all the ones that matter most to us. Personal liberty, guns, economic freedom and the grinding of statists into dust. He’s consistent, rational and one of the few truly open minded people left. He questions authority.

RTWT.  And that, when all is said and done, is that.

Speak for yourself, Bernie.

So the Vast Right Wing Blogspiracy is all atwitter about the revelation of an article written by aspiring Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (C*-VT) back in the '70s, which seems...er,  just a little non-PC.

Now, as we all know, the Mushroom Media will ignore this, and anyone on the Left who manages to hear about it anyway will find any means to excuse it because Koch brothers or something.  If you doubt me, study the Presidential career of Hillary's husband.  And it's not like any election in the former USA matters one thin damn, since there's no alternative to the Fascist Party:  your only choice is whether you want your tyranny with a red or a blue tint.  But I just had to comment on this line:

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy,” wrote Sanders. “A woman on her knees. A woman tied up. A woman abused.”

Excuse The F*** Me?????  Dude, I maintain that if you not only find this sort of fantasy arousing, but actually think it's 'typical,' you really need to be locked away from the rest of us until someone sets your brain straight.  But I shouldn't be surprised, really--seems like everyone we elect to public office these days wants to rape us all in one fashion or another.

Tinfoil hat radical craziness...

...or, as it used to be called, "self-evident truth."

If you wish to salvage America, if it is to be done at all, the only answer is to restore in law and in fact the philosophy that holds man as his own rightful property, and his life and his liberties as the material implementation of that fact.  Please do not bother about statist notions of “obligations” or “responsibilities” of free men.  The only actual, logical “obligation” of a free man is to respect those same rights among other men, and his only collectivized “responsibility” is to pay for the upholding of those rights among all men.  This is the sole justification of governments, and it is the sole reason that any form of taxation is logically (and morally) permissible.  This means a court system, to resolve disputes among men; a policing mechanism, to apprehend those who violate the rights of men; a national defense to protect against massive attacks on the rights of men.  Deprived of the ability to use the power of the state as a gun aimed at the heads of other men in the name of their own peculiar interests, with the threat of a watchful state waiting to punish such aggressors, men must deal with one another by volitional means, i.e., “free trade” or “commerce.”

RTWT.  Whatever cause our soldiers were sent to fight and die for over the centuries, it wasn't to defend the country we live in now.  This is not the America they swore their lives to, and I increasingly despair of its ever returning.

God help us.

18 May 2015

There are no words.

Why have so many people developed a visceral hatred of cops?

I'm not talking about gangbangers and other lowlives--I'm talking about your average, everyday American.  Every day, more and more of the public realize that they no longer have any faith or trust in the police.

Maybe this is why.

The act of sleeping in a room about to be breached by a SWAT team constituted “criminal” conduct on the part of the infant. At the very least, the infant was fully liable for the nearly fatal injuries inflicted on him when Habersham County Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Long blindly heaved a flash-bang grenade – a “destructive device,” as described by the ATF, that when detonated burns at 2,000-3,500 degrees Fahrenheit – into the crib.

Merely by being in that room, Bou-Bou had assumed the risk of coming under attack by a SWAT team. By impeding the trajectory of that grenade, rather than fleeing from his crib, Bou-Bou failed to “avoid the consequences” of that attack.

In any case, Bou-Bou, along with his parents and his siblings, are fully and exclusively to blame for the injuries that nearly killed the child and left the family with more than one million dollars in medical bills. The SWAT team that invaded the home in Cornelia, Georgia on the basis of a bogus anonymous tip that a $50 drug transaction had occurred there is legally blameless.

...

A tax-subsidized settlement was reached about a month ago in which the National Fire Insurance Company will pay $964,000 to the family -- a little more than $538,000 for medical expenses, and multiple installments of $200,000 to the infant after he turns 18 in 2033. This arrangement will leave the family facing at least a half-million dollars in current medical expenses, a figure that will be matched or eclipsed by future costs incurred by Bou-Bou's ongoing medical treatment.

In familiar fashion, nobody responsible for this crime will be compelled to make restitution, or be held accountable for the nearly fatal injuries inflicted on the child – and the significant but non-life-threatening injury suffered by his father -- during the 2:00 a.m. home invasion that took place nearly a year ago.

Near every lawsuit begets a “defendant’s reply” disputing all of the factual allegations and legal claims presented by the plaintiffs. Where the defendants are law enforcement officers, the objective is to build a case that the actions of the officers were “reasonable” and in compliance with established “policies and procedures” – and thus protected by “qualified immunity.” From this perspective, the assailants are innocent of all liability even though they did everything wrong – and the victims are fully to blame even though they did nothing wrong. The reply filed on behalf of Sheriff Joey's deranged deputies will serve as a legal clinic for other departments involved in similar Soviet-grade atrocities in the future.

Look, folks--everybody screws up.  Sometimes, those screw-ups have some pretty horrific consequences.  I don't expect police officers to be perfect, because they're human beings, and thus prone to misjudgements and mistakes.  I get that.

But there's something called 'honor.'  You may have heard of it, but if you haven't, it's something that was practiced universally in Western civilization since forever.  Something the boys in blue camo black claim that they're full of.  ORLY?

Honorable men would have apologized, admitted to their mistakes, and done everything in their power to set things right.  Honorable men would have done this without the slightest regard to the consequences to themselves.  Honorable men would do this because...well, because it is the honorable thing to do.  QED.

Hiding behind lawyers, courts and union reps is not honorable.  Evading responsibility for your mistakes is not honorable.  Blaming an infant for having a grenade thrown into his crib is beyond dishonorable, and is in fact the purchase of a First Class Express ticket to Hell.  It is disgusting and vile in the view of any civilized human being.

So, Officers, if you're wondering why even your law-abiding, run-of-the-mill neighbors are looking at you with barely disguised loathing...it's because too many of you have proven that you not only have no honor, you don't even understand the concept.

Prove me wrong.  Make this right.

Samantha Lois Jay Johnston

This woman seems to have wound up with the balls that American men used to have before they all turned into Pajama Boy.

She told the Daily Caller that she cried ‘all the way to the airport’ and nearly changed her mind about going – but decided if she did not go she would never forgive herself.

‘These children here who are homeless, orphaned; mothers and sisters have been raped and sold, fathers who have been killed, they are suffering, and I knew that I couldn’t just sit and do nothing.

‘I couldn’t look my children in the eyes and say, “I didn’t do anything to help.”‘

May the Lord bless and keep her; may He make His face to shine upon her.  This type of spirit and attitude is what our nation was built on...why is it so rare today?

Thoughts on Mad Max

Some people are Star Trek geeks, some are Star Wars geeks, some are comic book geeks, some are gamer geeks...

...I'm a Mad Max geek.  When I saw The Road Warrior back in 1981(holy crap, has it been that long?  I'm ancient), I was transfixed by the Most Badass Movie Ever.  So, after waiting thirty years for another installment, I was stoked to hear Fury Road was finally happening.

Then I heard all the rumblings about how it was nothing but feminist propaganda, and it sucked, and Max was a pussy, and on and on.  Well, I decided to make up my own mind, so a bunch of us went out yesterday to see it.

Spoilers ahead...

America

No commentary needed...just RTWT.

After World War II America was flush with success, they had used their ingenuity, their determination and penchant for hard work to defeat every foe on Earth.  They had, by 1945, the ability to annihilate any nation that stood against it.  A lot of other countries would have used that power to control the world, to demand homage be paid; to blackmail.  Even as we recognized that the Soviet Union would become an ardent adversary we did not use our power to destroy it. That is American and it is exceptional in the annals of history.

So, today, we face those same Marxists, even if they were born in America into long-standing capitalist fortunes, they have never been truly American. Being American is not a race, or even an ethnicity, it is an understanding that liberty is the cornerstone, the very source of fantastic achievements and innovations that propel a nation and its people into greatness.  Without it, we are just like the rest of the world, bound up and stifled by regulations and government oversight of every thought.

There is a thing such as American exceptionalism.  In liberty we are exceptional, in restraint we are not.  To save this nation from the horrors of Marxist rule we must embrace the idea that liberty itself, privacy and freedom from regulation are essential, not just to prosperity, but to survival. A weakened nation, as we currently are due to the detour we have taken from this simple understanding, cannot long avoid the attacks of overseas powers who seek our destruction, be that North Korea, Russia, China or ISIS.

Seriously...READ IT.

Nothing sinister here,move along...

There is a completely rational explanation for this.  And it's a total coincidence.  And it didn't happen anyway and STFU YOU RACIST TEABAGGER!!

There is no debate. I am living proof that there was a widespread political witch hunt and criminal conspiracy within the IRS. It is also proof that this scandal extended beyond the IRS to high-level Democrats -- including a specific Democratic U.S. Senator. It's all in black and white in my personal IRS tax files. These are facts.

My files have been turned over to U.S. Senate investigators. I stand ready and eager to testify.

Now it’s time for the mainstream media to do their job and connect the dots.

"Now it’s time for the mainstream media to do their job and connect the dots."  Yeah, right, bro.  Just like the whole U.S. Senate investigation amounting to anything other than empty words, that'll happen right around the Fifteenth of Never.  There is no 'mainstream media' anymore.  Now it's the Mushroom Media, so named because they keep us in the dark and feed us bullshit.

You STILL don't understand what you're dealing with.  Does this make more sense now??

Man, I'm really getting frustrated with this nonsense.  I can understand your average blindly clueless individual believing that we still have a rule of law, but come on!  Mr. Root, you're obviously intelligent enough to see the truth--does it scare you so much that you just don't want to?

Three-fer: The natural progression...

What's going on?

Democrats win election by stoking resentments, scapegoating productive people for the failures of unproductive people, looting the public treasury, and making monsters out of their opponents. These policies win elections very effectively particularly where voters are uneducated and ill-informed (i.e. dependent on Democrat-run schools and Democrat-run media), but as a strategy of governance, they are inherently dysfunctional. The resentments become hatred and violence, the productive people abandon the dysfunction until the dysfunctional are a voting majority, the public treasury is robbed bare, and you end up with… Detroit, Newark, Baltimore, St. Louis, Providence, Bridgeport, Camden, and all the other one-party urban hellholes, basically.
Democrats think that the dysfunction can be papered over by spending more of other people’s money. But that only works while there is money to spend.  The country is broke, which is why I think Baltimore is just the prelude of what’s to come.

What's behind it?

Let’s assume, for the moment, that Jade Helm 15 is not a thinly veiled military plot to take over the country lifted straight out of director John Frankenheimer’s 1964 political thriller Seven Days in May, as some fear, but is merely a “routine” exercise for troops, albeit a blatantly intimidating flexing of the military’s muscles.

The problem arises when you start to add Jade Helm onto the list of other troubling developments that have taken place over the past 30 years or more: the expansion of the military industrial complex and its influence in Washington DC, the rampant surveillance, the corporate-funded elections and revolving door between lobbyists and elected officials, the militarized police, the loss of our freedoms, the injustice of the courts, the privatized prisons, the school lockdowns, the roadside strip searches, the military drills on domestic soil, the fusion centers and the simultaneous fusing of every branch of law enforcement (federal, state and local), the stockpiling of ammunition by various government agencies, the active shooter drills that are indistinguishable from actual crises, the economy flirting with near collapse, etc.

Suddenly, the overall picture seems that much more sinister...

Where will it lead?

But I am a soldier, and I know what must be done; and so I shall put away my sadness and I shall harness up the bitter steed of war, and gird myself up for the battle; and I shall ride out to meet the enemies of Liberty; not in rage, not for anger sake or the hope of vengeance; but because I swore an oath before God, to jealously guard our Republic and its Constitution against all enemies; Him I shall not disappoint, for He is my Hope and my Trust.

Therefore, as much as my soul laments against the harsh truth before me, I make this declaration to my enemies who press me into this battle, that none shall be able to afterwards say “I did not know, you did not warn me”;

I do not care why you took that job with the government, or why you continue to hold it. I only know that you have become Judas and sold yourself to an oppressive state – your government office buildings and vehicles are part of the battlefield, and as a soldier I shall act accordingly.

This is not good.  But, as LT points out above:   between myself, Ann Barnhardt, Mike, Kerodin and countless others...

...you can't say you weren't warned.

But nobody's forcing their lifestyle on you...

...that's just tinfoil-hat craziness.

The Supreme Court’s recent refusal to take on gay rights’ appeals from five states has opened the doors for same-sex marriages to go forth.
The Knapps were just asked by a gay couple to perform their wedding ceremony, The Daily Caller reported.
“On Friday, a same-sex couple asked to be married by the Knapps, and the Knapps politely declined,” The Daily Signal reported. “The Knapps now face a 180-day jail term and a $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.”

I'm all for equality, but this is bullshit.  What's next, forcing the Catholic Church to hold a Black Mass?  At this point, it might just happen.

Apparently, some people are confused.

This is not rape.

And you, as the victim of such an unimaginable atrocity, are entitled to use the Power of the State to destroy the life of the person who declined to participate in your lesbian wedding.
So, just as anything a terrorist complains about is now “torture,” so is anything a woman complains about “rape.”
I didn’t think I could feel any more contempt for the wedding cake fascists than I already did. I was wrong.

 This is rape.

Police noted in the court documents that the victim is Abdullahi's wife via Muslim custom. Police did not release her age, but Sgt. Trent Crump said she is a young adult.

Police said the victim's parents married her to Abdullahi in November without her knowledge. She learned of the marriage in December and fled the state but returned two weeks later to finish high school.

The victim's family members reportedly took her to Abdullahi's residence against her will on Monday. Police said Abdullahi punched, bit and strangled her before sexually assaulting her.

I'll wait for the protests from the Left over this latter incident, which should be happening sometime around never.

Yeah, you can't really blame them, can you?

I and many conservative bloggers spend a lot of time laying into the Butthurt Brigade.  But, in this masterwork, we are faced with the sobering reminder that WE created these Special Little Snowflakes.  Not just their parents, but all of America needs to share in the blame.

I call these young people out for valuing illusory and subjective safety over liberty. I accuse them of accepting that speech is "harmful" without logic or proof. I mock them for not grasping that universities are supposed to be places of open inquiry. I condemn them for not being critical about the difference between nasty speech and nasty actions, and for thinking they have a right not to be offended. I belittle them for abandoning fundamental American values.

But recently a question occurred to me: where, exactly, do I think these young people should have learned the values that I expect them to uphold?

Today's college students came of age in the years after 9/11. What did we teach them about the balance between liberty and safety in that time?
The answer?  Nothing good, and definitely nothing they needed to know.  RTWT, but be prepared to own some uncomfortable truths.

How's that "War On Drugs" going?

This is absolutely nauseating.

She has been charged with no crime, yet she still must go into court to prove that she should still have custody of her child. You can feel that pot, even for medicinal use, should remain illegal, and realize how wrong this is.

There is no proof that this child was being given an illegal substance. The boy simply understands the issues surrounding the use of medicinal pot. That isn't a crime. That isn't child abuse.

The State of Kansas has done nothing to "protect" this child, they have done quite the opposite. This child has been harmed by the very agency that is supposed to help him in cases of abuse and neglect. When we have a government that is so large that it can walk into a classroom of a child, question him without parental permission, then use those statements of a child to get a warrant to get into the home of the parent, we have a government that is too powerful.

Emphases mine.  If you can't understand that this is SO wrong on SO MANY wrong levels, you're part of the problem.  Please head on down to the nearest fire station and ask to borrow the Jaws of Life to remove your head from your ass.

A great idea

Earthbound Misfit has an idea I think everyone can get behind, if they're interested in actual justice.

I submit that this proposal should be adopted. Look, if people are going to lie other people into prison, let alone Old Sparky, then there should be some serious motivation applied to them to not do that. A perjury beef, when the object of the perjury was executed or died in prison, is nowhere near enough.

If a cop testilies and is caught doing it during the trial, then that cop should get the maximum sentence for the top count of whatever the defendant was charged. If the defendant was convicted and sent away, then the perjurer should be sent to prison for all of the defendant's sentence, clock set to zero, and nothing less than 85% of the time to be served. If the defendant died in prison or was executed, then the same fate should await the perjurer.

The same penalties should apply to those who knew about it. If the perjurer's boss knew... cellmate. If the prosecutor knew that perjured testimony was being offered and put the perjurer on the stand anyway... cellmate!

I'm down.  Justice requires truth.

An ironic musical 3-fer

Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh, cry or have another beer.

pssht***glug glug glug***uurrrrrrpp

OK, well, that settled that question.  Anyway, the point I was getting to was the tragicomic irony of the state of America today.  Y'all remember when metal and punk music were all about rebellion?  Do you?  That the whole point was to stand tall and give the bird to The Man?  And now, the kids that grew up on this music have become The Man, and the results are horrific.

I beseech my fellow Americans of a Conservative and/or Libertarian bent...listen to these lyrics, and try to tell me they don't speak to your hearts:

Jealous cowards try to control!
They distort what we say!
Try and stop what we do!
When they can't do it themselves!

Is that not a perfect representation of what we're facing?  Makes you want to say something like this:

Oh, you're so condescending
Your gall is never ending
We don't want nothin'
Not a thing from you!

Your life is trite and jaded,
Boring and confiscated,
If that's your best,
Your best won't do!

I don't know what happened, but I'm thinking we're heading for this.  God help us all.

I don't care
What you say
We never played by the same rules
Anyway
I won't be there anymore
Get outta my way
Let me by
I got better things to do with my time
I don't care anymore...

A time for choosing...again.

Profanity Alert, but put on your adult undergarments and get past it.  The brother has something to say!

Did you not know that? That that's what America is?

That America is the right to be different from other people?

I don't see why a store run by a pious conservative Muslim can't demand that women be covered, if that's his bag, nor why a store run by a pious conservative Catholic can't also insist that women cover their shoulders, if that's his sense of what his business should be, of what should happen on property he owns.

Will there be hurt feelings when some are turned away?

Sure.

And who cares?

Peter Grant opens a case of whoopass

With minor contextual variations, this is what every single Social Justice Warrior member of the Butthurt Brigade needs to have shoved into their brains--or whatever lukewarm tapioca passes for said organ.

You have not earned the right to criticize one who achieved so much in his lifetime - particularly not one who, even in the context of imperialist racism that every single European nation practiced in the 19th century, could say things like, "I could never accept the position that we should disqualify a human being on account of his color".

You have not earned that right because you have not achieved anything to set against, and be measured against, his achievements.  His example inspired more than one generation, and was remembered long after his death by both black and white Africans.  What example have you set by which to be remembered?  Flinging excrement at statues?

It doesn't matter what color your skin is, or what your background might be, or what your aspirations are.  What matters is what you achieve - and don't tell me that the lack of things of which you feel 'deprived' holds you back from achieving.  That's politically correct claptrap.  Good men and women in every nation, of every tribe, ethnicity, language, creed and color, have achieved great things after beginning in absolute poverty with nothing and no-one to help them.  They earned the right to criticize others on the basis that they proved themselves by their deeds.  You have not - at least, not yet.  When you have, come and talk to me again.  Until then, shut up.

The Rhodes Scholarships that Cecil John Rhodes founded have educated many of the world's leaders, including US Presidents.  His philanthropy is visible in the grounds on which your university stands, which he donated, and in Rhodes University in Grahamstown.  You apparently see no contradiction between deriving personal benefit from his generosity, and throwing excrement at his statue.  Shame on you.

You, my brother, speak the truth.  God bless you.

Two can play at that game...

When Chick-Fil-A founder Dan Cathy was asked his personal opinion concerning marriage, he responded that it should be between one man and one woman.  You might remember the temper tantrums the Left threw about that, culminating in the most unsuccessful boycott in human history.

One fool decided to film himself dressing down a sweet young employee at a local CFA.  His malignant case of overwhelming "Social Justice" smugness apparently had him convinced that:

a)  The personal opinion of the restaurant chain's CEO automatically translated into CFA discriminating against queer folk,

b)  The young lady working the drive-thru had any say in whatever policies a national chain restaurant implemented or not, and

c)  That he was perfectly within his rights to be an absolute flaming asshole, publicize his misbehavior all over the intarwebz, and be completely free from consequences.

Wrong on all counts.

Smith said he lost his job and everything that went with it, including a $200,000 annual salary and over $1 million in stock options.
“It was taken when I lost my employment,” he told “20/20.”
After losing his home, Smith was able to find a similar position in Portland, Ore. But two weeks later, his new boss realized he was “that guy in the video,” so he lost that job, too, he said.
May God forgive me, but after seeing the Left attempt to ruin peoples' lives over the slightest real or imagined offense...my sympathy level reads in the negative numbers.  Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Good news/bad news

First, the bad news:  Universities, once institutions of intelligence and maturity, are literally nothing more than day-care centers for over-aged children.

The safe space, Ms. Byron explained, was intended to give people who might find comments “troubling” or “triggering,” a place to recuperate. The room was equipped with cookies, coloring books, bubbles, Play-Doh, calming music, pillows, blankets and a video of frolicking puppies, as well as students and staff members trained to deal with trauma.
Emphasis mine.  Congratulations, parents; you've just paid hideous amounts of money to send your supposedly adult children back to kindergarten.  Don't it make ya proud?

(HT Gay Patriot)

The good news is that even in Minnesota The Land of 10,000 Leftists, normal people have finally had enough of the Butthurt Brigade:

“Just left a very hostile moment at Maynard’s in Excelsior. Owners physically pushing us and snatching signs. #BlackBrunchMN”

“The whole restaurant yelled and swore at us. A man followed us outside to keep yelling asking us if white lives matter too. #BlackBrunchMN”

Black Brunch protesters in Excelsior, Minnesota were run out of Maynard’s restaurant Sunday morning by angry customers and staff. The reaction was so swift one protester said they did not have time to take photos.

Be grateful that's all that happened, you race-baiting punks.  It'll keep getting worse until you learn to act like civilized human beings.

So, it's kind of even today.  I'll call it a win.

Rational debate?

With these people?

Who has abortions? For most of human history, the answer was obvious: women have abortions. Girls have abortions. Not any more. People have abortions. Patients have abortions. Men have abortions. “We must acknowledge and come to terms with the implicit cissexism in assuming that only women have abortions,” wrote feminist activist Lauren Rankin in July 2013 in truthout.com. She went on to criticize as exclusionary slogans like “the War on Women” and “Stand with Texas Women.”

They're mad.  They're completely and utterly insane.  These are the people you hope to reason with?

Let me know how that works out for you--I'll be buying stock in Thorazine, butterfly nets and straitjackets.

Gunslinger has a couple of posts up explaining why, in the words of an old Tom Lehrer song, "...everybody hates the Jews."

Why the Jews?

Tyrants that want to control every action and thought of others are the most threatened by the "rebuke by the very existence" of the Jews, who by definition, i.e., whose very identity is defined as belief in a higher, mightier power than any that could ever be created by a human agent.

The existence of such divine contradiction in their midst renders true-believers in all forms of tyranny—from the Utopian Left with its all powerful, all-seeing State, to the current version of primitive Islamic murderers —unhinged to the extreme. And their first response it to kill, kill, kill that which so threatens their most cherished goals of utter dominance of their fellow man.

Where once I wondered "What do the Jews do to be hated so completely by so many ?"...I undertook to notice who hated them...and realized that considering the character of those who hated them, I wanted to be on the side of the Jews. For surely anyone so hated by so many demons and villains...is on the side of righteousness.

And a follow-up:  Why They Hate

Here's how they pretend it works: Zero-Sum Game claims, falsely, that if Group A has more money, property or wealth than Group B,  it's because A somehow "stole" the wealth from B.

The fact that Group A gets educated, stays employed, works hard, and makes sacrifices, and Group B sits on their asses smoking dope and collecting welfare....

...has nothing to do with it, and if you say it does you're a "hater".

Surprise!  When you look at the groups of people who "hate the Jews"...it's pretty much always the sort of people who think this way...and have decided that the prosperity of the Jews, who do all the right things for success in the world...have somehow "stolen" a part of the wealth that should be theirs.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

RIP, Terry Pratchett.

God always takes the good ones before their time.  Because it was NEVER his time.  He was supposed to live forever!!

May God bless and keep your soul, Mr. Pratchett.  You've brought joy to millions, and that's most definitely doing His work.

Yes, Ma'am!

Only one teaser quote on this one.

I have often marveled at our Founders and their understanding of proper rebellion. They understood that God alone is the author of liberty (2Cor 3:17) and that it was our duty to Him to defend and protect the precious gift He had bestowed upon this nation (Gal 5:1). And they understood and declared that government’s proper role was to protect these God-given rights. While many may think that our Founders rebelled against an authority that was appointed by God to rule over them, the Declaration of Independence made it clear that they were rebelling against a monarchy that was lawless and infringed upon the God-given rights of the people instead of protecting them. Their list of declared offenses was long. Unfortunately, it contained many commonalities with our American experiences today, such as imposing taxes upon us without our consent (a/k/a Obamacare); and joining with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution and unacknowledged by our laws (UN treaties). Today we have a government that passes unconstitutional legislation, circuitous amnesty, and oppressive taxation that exceeds the powers they are granted in our Constitution- sometimes with nothing more than a pen and phone.

RTWT.  It's short and to the point.

Let's do a thought experiment!

We've secretly replaced this article's Communism bent with references to National Socialism.  Let's see what happens!  :)

Worried that you are beginning to hate one of your friends or family members because they have told you that they are a National Socialist?

1 Understand that you don't have to agree with your friend. Many people are pro-Israel, pro-Gay and non-Aryan-Supremacist and that's fine.

2  Show respect to any Nazis you know. Don't constantly criticize their beliefs. They have the same rights of opinions as you do. Ignore their beliefs and treat them based on the respect you feel they deserve.

3  Don't take it personally. Your friend doesn't hold fascist beliefs just to anger you. If you start feeling angry during a conversation with your friend, ask yourself where the anger is coming from. It might not actually have its source in your friend's beliefs. It's okay to be vulnerable.

4  Learn about Nazism instead of making judgments based off of popular conceptions or propaganda. Try reading Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler or Goebbels on the Power of Propaganda by Goebbels.

5  Remember that a real National Socialist does not support a dictatorship of inferior races over the population. Nazis do support what is called a dictatorship but all this means is that the Master Race have control over political power and the state and use this power to defend Nazism from attacks by their inferiors.

6  Consider researching the core beliefs of Nazism, but if you don't you should probably show respect for their beliefs nevertheless. But remember that you don't have to sacrifice your own principles for them.

7  Focus on the better things in your friendship. Don't just argue about fascism vs. capitalism all the time. Life is too short for that. Flowers, for example. They are pretty good-smelling, aren't they?

8  Support your friend if other people pick on them. Nazis have to hear quite a bit of insults about their beliefs, and that is not very fair.

I can hear the squalling now.  "That's not a fair comparison!!"  Considering that the 3rd Reich only murdered around 13-16 million people, and Communism has slaughtered over one hundred million in the last hundred years, that comparison really isn't fair...

...to the Nazis.

Ike almost had it

"...we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex."  --President Dwight Eisenhower

Well, it's not a military-industrial complex per se.  It's broader than that.  It's actually a government-corporative complex.  Hence the term, coined by the infamous Cold Fury, "FedGovCo."

And it's leading us into very troubling waters.  Ever wonder why the definition of a 'crime' seems to be 'whatever FedGovCo wants it to be?'  Maybe, at least in part, because this:

No wonder America is criminalizing mundane activities, arresting Americans for minor violations, and locking them up for long stretches of time. There’s a significant amount of money being made by the police, the courts, the prisons, and the corporations.

What we’re witnessing is the expansion of corrupt government power in the form of corporate partnerships which both increase the reach of the state into our private lives while also adding a profit motive into the mix, with potentially deadly consequences.

This perverse mixture of government authoritarianism and corporate profits is now the prevailing form of organization in American society today. We are not a nation dominated by corporations, nor are we a nation dominated by government. We are a nation dominated by corporations and government together, in partnership, against the interests of individuals, society and ultimately our freedoms.

Anyone have an alternative explanation?

Check this out.

Oh, the consequences will be frightful....

But the schadenfreude is so delightful

And since we've nowhere to turn,

Let it burn,

Let it burn,
