Yeah...it's like that.
Sultan Knish explains why that whole flying car thing just ain't gonna happen...
...until we get serious about telling our supposed 'betters' to sit down, shut up and get out of the way.
Can we get on with doing that? 'Cause I really think a flying car would be hella cool.
Flying cars are dangerous. Imagine the accidents, imagine the lawsuits. An elite which panics at a child's drawing of a gun or a new Army recruit illegally drinking a beer is in no shape to cope with a crazy world of flying cars. At least not without a prolonged debate on whether the flying car is a phallic or yonic symbol and how it will impact minority representation in congress, not to mention the obesity epidemic, the self-esteem of gay teenagers and the plight of Guatemalan farmers.
A flying car disrupts the larger scheme of things which requires us to make do with less, to take the carpool lane, not to take to the sky. It distracts us from constantly repeating to ourselves that we are the problem, that the automobile is a pestilent plague and that we are destroying the planet by not listening to our jet setting better's green tips.
Is there any place for a flying car in a low flow toilet culture? Yes there is, as a reminder of what we can't have so long as the latter isn't being flushed along with the entire corrupt lunatic establishment and its single-minded grip on power.
...until we get serious about telling our supposed 'betters' to sit down, shut up and get out of the way.
Can we get on with doing that? 'Cause I really think a flying car would be hella cool.

RTWT. If you haven't grasped the concept of taqiyyah by now, you'd better learn it quick.
There are some peaceful, tolerant verses in the Qur'an. But the violent, intolerant ones have nullified them. The Qur'an itself explains what to do with conflicting verses. If two passages conflict, it says, the one written later is better than the one written earlier. This is called the principle of abrogation.
The bad news for non-Muslims is that almost all the peaceful passages were written earlier, and the violent ones were written later.
The entire Qur'an was written by one man over a period of 23 years, and his revelations changed over that time. They became less tolerant and more vengeful. So that explains part of the confusion: Peaceful and tolerant verses are accurately quoted, and so are the intolerant and jihad-oriented verses. But there's more to clarify here.

The real scary part?
These are just the ones they're admitting to. But don't worry; whenever they're busted, .gov always comes clean, fully and completely, and promises never to violate the citizenry again.

Behind the Martin-Zimmerman case
Imagine if you will, a constructed narrative, designed with an intentional and hurried specific purpose, and replete with a hidden agenda.
If your ordinary mind can take you into the land of Machiavellian construct then you are a far better-minded cynic than I.
It is only when you are deep within that manipulative place you can begin to understand how challenging it is to get inside this riddle. It is like a basketball made of individual rubber bands intertwined to form a specific shape.
Confused about the whole "Murder of Trayvon Martin"/"George Zimmerman Self-Defense" case? Well, you sure as hell can't depend on the LameStream Media for anything resembling the facts. Luckily, we have the 21st Century Media to go to, such as my homies at The Conservative Treehouse.

Australia.
A very unique place, to be sure. Mrs. Wraith has always wanted to visit there, but I'm of two minds. On one hand, it has given us some of the best movies ever created by man, it's home to some really interesting wildlife, and as a trucker, I gotta admit that whole Road Train thing gives me the tingles.
(Just in case you missed it--this is badass. I'd love to drive one just once.)
On the other hand, they have spiders that eat birds, trees that will poison you, and Vegemite. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Australia's home to more than a few random dust particles that will kick your ass and take your lunch money. You'd think those who live there would have to be pretty interesting.
They are. Say hello to Julie, blogging from the Land Down Under(until something eats her), who now graces my RTD blogroll.

And now for something completely different.
Wirecutter points us to the "Shooter Sandwich." I must make this. As soon as possible.

I have no words.
Don't even click this link. Putting this in context will only make it worse. Far, far worse.
If you need me, I'll be under my desk, alternately crying, praying, and attempting to give myself a lobotomy with a carbide drill bit.

When I make the last payment on my truck...
...I'm downtrading to something much, much older.
I will then take a picture of myself sitting on my non-computerized, non-black-boxed vehicle, giving the double bird, and I will email it to every single .gov address I can find. (Multiple copies will be sent to the EPA and DHS.)
You should, too.

Another TSM home run
Kevin Baker steps up to the plate...here's the "Marxism CARES!" pitch...
...CRACK!! And Baker knocks that sucker to Mars! It's going, going...it is GONE, they're gonna need a ticket on the space shuttle to catch that one!
Marxism says that if everyone just behaves perfectly, then we will have complete equality and utopia will exist. Capitalism says that if two people make a trade, both come away better off than they were before they made the trade. Marxism says that the economy is best run from the top down. Capitalism says that the economy is best run from the bottom up. Marxism says that everyone should be a perfect altruist. Capitialism says that looking out for your own best interest is better for everyone in the long run.
...
The intentions of Marxism are morally pure - the equality of man, man!
And the results it brings are, more often than the Marxist ever want to admit, death in the millions and tens of millions.
I understand there's a certain equality in the grave.
...CRACK!! And Baker knocks that sucker to Mars! It's going, going...it is GONE, they're gonna need a ticket on the space shuttle to catch that one!
Could this be it?
By "it," I mean the ruling by our lords and mastersthe benevolent and glorious Federal Government that finally inspires the states to shout, "Get stuffed!"
Tombstone, AZ may just be facing its own burial, thanks to the actions of a bunch of unelected, unaccountable douchebags who actually think they matter. If their demand that we return to the days of horse and wagon doesn't expose them as humanity-hating Luddites, I don't know what will.
Emphasis mine. And now, an open message to our Governor.
Governor Brewer, there is only one civilized response to this. It's very simple. It consists of two words, and the first one rhymes with "duck." Stand up against this tyranny, and we will back you.

“In some areas, Tombstone’s pipeline is under 12 feet of mud, rocks and other debris, while in other places, it is hanging in mid-air due to the ground being washed out from under it,” the institute reported.
However, instead of allowing repairs as has happened in the past, “federal bureaucrats are refusing to allow Tombstone to unearth its springs and restore its waterlines unless [city officials] jump through a lengthy permitting process that will require the city to use horses and hand tools to remove boulders the size of Volkswagens.”
Dranias told WND the organization expects to hear a decision on its request for a preliminary injunction by the end of next month.

These are my people.
Want to know my race? Learn to spell "AMERICAN."
And Michelle Malkin is my people. And so is every single proud American who eschews identity politics and respects the rights of the individual. Color is nothing. Character is everything. That's how the real America rolls.
Herman Cain is my people. He’s my brother-in-arms. I’ve never met him. But we are family. We are kin because we are unhyphenated Americans who are comfortable in the black, brown and yellow skin we are in...
Val Prieto is my people. A fierce, freedom-loving American blogger of Cuban descent, he rejects race-card games and refuses to be lumped in with Hispanic ethnic grievance-mongers...
Allen West, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and freshman congressman from Florida who happens to be black, is my people. Unafraid to skewer progressive sacred cows, he speaks boldly against global jihad and its Fifth Column enablers screaming “Islam-o-phobe!” West has also nailed the Congressional Black Caucus as “a monolithic voice that promotes these liberal social welfare policies and programs that are failing in the black community, that are preaching victimization and dependency; that’s not the way that we should go.”
And Michelle Malkin is my people. And so is every single proud American who eschews identity politics and respects the rights of the individual. Color is nothing. Character is everything. That's how the real America rolls.
Some light Second Amendment reading...
...from Karl Denninger.
I can't believe this whole subject is even being discussed any more. It's like we're still debating whether we live in a heliocentric universe.
Hey, Bloomberg? Brady Bunch? All the rest of you hysterical gun-grabbers? We pissed all over the Constitution and our God-given rights to give your utopianvictim disarmament "gun control" a chance. By every possible measure, it has been about as successful as attempting to put out a fire with gasoline. We. Are. Right. You. Are. Wrong. Every single piece of objective evidence proves it, and however you might 'feel' is completely irrelevant.
Now sit down and shut up. The grownups are talking.
Yes, there were 14,748 homicides and manslaughters in 2010 (latest data available) in the United States and the majority (70-some percent) involved a firearm. But homicide didn't even make the 15 top leading causes of death in 2010. You're far more likely to die of heart disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease (read: emphysema), stroke, accident, alzheimers, diabetes, the flu, suicide, chronic liver disease (that is, drinking yourself to death), hypertension (high blood pressure), parkinsons or pneumonia than to be murdered.
And as "the gun lobby" has won, crimes have declined even though population continues to increase. This shouldn't surprise anyone; the risk of being caught by the police is real, but the risk of being shot by your intended victim is real, personal and if it happens immediate. There is no judge, no jury and no appeal nor do you get to claim a notch on your stick for having "gone to the big house" for a while.
When one considers that the FBI says there were 1.3 million violent crimes in total in 2010, The Gun, and its personal ownership, has literally reduced the incidence of said violent crime by half, and in nearly all cases the weapon is not fired.
I can't believe this whole subject is even being discussed any more. It's like we're still debating whether we live in a heliocentric universe.

Standing with Mr. Zimmerman
The 21st Century Media isn't backing off in the slightest, God bless 'em. More on the ugly political, financial and racial motivations of this whole affair at the Treehouse:
Breitbart is here, you LSM running dogs, and he's spawning thousands more of his spiritual progeny every day. Your reign of duplicity is ending. The house of lies you've built over the last five decades is burning down, and you can just choke on the smoke.
This post is directed at those within the fourth estate and those who gain advantage from the manipulations fully supported within the fourth estate. The institutional legacy media, the leftists and left-wing radicals, and the political constituencies who are used to hiding behind the defensive mechanisms of the institutional leftist class of elites and betters, YEAH YOU…
Sunlight is the best disinfectant for your rabid ideological insanity and Machiavellian manipulations. We, the supporters of freedom and the new media, we will not be intimidated, and damn sure ain’t gonna back down.
For our readers to understand. – The researched post which points out the hidden financial agenda behind the actions of Tracy Martin, Sybrina Fulton, Parks and Crump esq., along with the State Attorney General – Angela Corey, and Dept. of Justice and US attorney General, together with race-baiting opportunists Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Benjamin Jealous, has gained mainstream media attention. AND THEY ARE FREAKING OUT.

Wise words on tribal thinking. Also: The 'legal' lynching commences.
NoOneOfAnyImport hipped me to this article in a comment a couple of posts back (sorry it took me this long to read it!) and this may be one of the most insightful dissections of America's racial strife in, like, EVER.
(Do I even have to point out that Baldilocks is now on TIPB?) I wonder if the whole 'tribal thought' thing also renders its subscribers incapable of recognizing others as individuals, hence the inability of Black activists to see any White person--no matter their actions--as anything other than an enemy.
On the subject, Mr. Zimmerman has been charged with 2nd-Degree Murder. Racists are calling for vigilante violence. And the situation deteriorates further with every word out of the mouths of scumbag racebaiters and every inaction from our misnamed Department of Justice.
Pray and prepare, folks. I fear the shit's about to get real.
Here’s the thing: I think that certain types of tribalism are beneficial to those within and even without some sets of tribal boundaries. Some years back, Bill Whittle famously expounded on the tribe of Sheepdogs, those rough men—and, sometimes, women--who make it their business to protect sheep from the wolves of this world. “You choose your tribe,” said Bill, and allowing oneself that choice is the province of rational actors. This isn’t to say that one should separate self from one’s racial, ethnic, national, or ideological tribe. However, it is to say that blindly following each one of the presumed norms of the tribe into which one was born is folly and it is the province of tribal actors. That is the place where into which all too many of my fellow black Americans find ourselves locked, mentally and emotionally.
Through this mindset, black Americans have become the organized Left's shock troops in latter’s war against America and all too many of us have become the Left's overseers, tasked to force the "deserters" back into formation using the tools of ridicule and shame. I almost said that the Left was at war with black people, but the Left doesn't esteem blacks enough to deem us as their enemies. We are merely tools to be used for the task at hand—to foment violent racial discord which will have to be put down using infinitely stronger government violence--and to be discarded when the task is completed, assuming that there will be any of us left after the New Civil War. And we let ourselves be used for one reason: tribal vengeance; for slavery and for oppression.
I submit that the Obama Administration, representing black Americans and no others, declared a tribal war against white Americans when Attorney General Eric Holder refused to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party after the latter's blatant violation of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Department of Justice’s inaction sent a message mirroring that of the US Supreme Court Dred Scott decision (1857): that the white man has no rights which the black man is bound to respect. Leftist ideology has been inculcated into black Americans for quite some time now and one of the strategies of this process has been to keep alive racial anger and the desire for tribal vengeance for past oppression. The Obama Administration's inaction in the above matter was merely a formal declaration, but the anger has long been simmering and, all too often, it boils over. Am I exaggerating? I don’t think so. And I think that many Americans have gotten the message.
(Do I even have to point out that Baldilocks is now on TIPB?) I wonder if the whole 'tribal thought' thing also renders its subscribers incapable of recognizing others as individuals, hence the inability of Black activists to see any White person--no matter their actions--as anything other than an enemy.

Yeah, it's like that.
Via the illustrious Bubba, we find the musings of Mr. Kevin Jackson concerning the death of Black Pride.
RTWT. Well said, Mr. Jackson.
When does truth trump color for black people? Black people in America have gotten almost everything we have asked of this country, yet it's still not enough for many blacks, Liberal Democrat racist blacks.
Our forefathers would be embarrassed at the outcome of the black community, and the fact that by now we have not overcome being the "black race" and risen to the level of being part of the "human race." Our forefathers pictured an America where faith in God, family, love of country, education and work-ethic were the core of what represented the black community. They expected by now that black people would represent the greatness of America, a country that despite its problems offered those once deemed lowest to rise to the top.
Instead of celebrating America's first recognized black president and all the strides black people have made however, there are those in the black community who want to make sure that black pride remains a thing of the past. Those black demagogues want America's first recognized black president to reset the clock on civil rights and oppress white people who had nothing to do with the past oppression of black people by Democrats.
RTWT. Well said, Mr. Jackson.

Kerodin 1, Erotophobes 0.
Although I've renounced my former wanton ways, I did so because I felt it was right for me to do so. I still don't begrudge consenting individuals their own private pursuits, and I fail to see the bizarre connection some people make between sexual freedom and the fall of civilizations.
Neither does Kerodin:
Yeah...those kinksters next door with the clothing-prohibited hot tub and elaborate basement dungeon? They may or may not be called to account for their lifestyle by our Lord, but that's solely their responsibility. I'm pretty sure they're less of a threat to humanity than the guy who thinks he can steal the fruits of your labor and control your childrens' minds simply because he's passed a law that says he can.
Ruminate.
Neither does Kerodin:
Sorry, most Civilizations come and go from this Earth through combat with other Tribes.
Stop worrying about the other guy or gal and who/what they choose to do sexually, and pay more attention to who wants your land, your water, your wife or daughter as breeders, and the sweat equity off your brow. Those are the people who will take us to the brink of existence.
It has always been so. It will always be so.
