Australia.

A very unique place, to be sure.  Mrs. Wraith has always wanted to visit there, but I'm of two minds.  On one hand, it has given us some of the best movies ever created by man, it's home to some really interesting wildlife, and as a trucker, I gotta admit that whole Road Train thing gives me the tingles.

(Just in case you missed it--this is badass.  I'd love to drive one just once.)

On the other hand, they have spiders that eat birdstrees that will poison you, and Vegemite.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that Australia's home to more than a few random dust particles that will kick your ass and take your lunch money.  You'd think those who live there would have to be pretty interesting.

They are.  Say hello to Julie, blogging from the Land Down Under(until something eats her), who now graces my RTD blogroll.

  1. Hi all and thanks :)

You don't get road trains of that size in built up areas (most you'll get is two trailers) ... and in the non-built up areas they're going as fast as you'ld want to :)

And as I keep telling people, i've not seen anything poisonous or venomous this year (at least) ...

    :)

SO DO COME AND VISIT ...

    1. Actually, it'll corner at least as well as a standard-size US truck. Remember, this unit pivots at the rear of the tractor/prime mover and at the front of each trailer.

That whole "backing up" thing, howerver, is a bit more complicated...!
