Stop the funky end zone dances

A wonderful thing is happening in our great country. More and more people are waking up to the lies and thuggery of the radical Left. Unfortunately, too many of my brothers and sisters on the Right are, inadvertently, rendering this trend all for naught.

I speak to my fellow anti-Leftists: Many of you have been conservatives or libertarians all your lives. You saw through the lies of the Left, to coin a phrase, "from Day One." When you see a hardcore Obamanoid finally admit that our country is on the wrong path, you may feel the urge to say something along the lines of, "I've been telling you that for years. So, you've finally pulled your head out of your ass? I told you so!!!"

Stop it. Please.

Understand where their heads are at. They have gone through life in sleep, and woken to the nightmare. Their foundations have been knocked out from under them. They're coming to the horrifying realization that everything they believed in has been a lie. Take the time you discovered that there really wasn't a Santa Claus, and mutiply that by about a billion.

This is what they're facing. They feel frightened, angry and confused. They might feel guilty about what they've given their support to all their lives. They may not know where to turn. They're likely wondering what, if anything, they can believe in any more.

Gloating and recriminations will not help them. They may make you feel vindicated, after all the vitriol the Left has showered on you over the years, but this person is no longer a Leftist. S/he is now a budding Conservative, and we need to show some class and prove ourselves as better people than the enemies of liberty.

When an Obamanoid finally puts down the Kool-Aid, your only response should be one of love and support. Something along the lines of, "Hey, you were fooled. They fooled a lot of people, and continue to do so. But you've taken the Red Pill now. Consider this the first day of your new life. If you need any advice, if you'd like me to recommend some reading material, or if you just want to vent, let me know. The real Americans are here for you."

Many of you consider yourselves Christians. Does it take an atheist to remind you of what the Bible says concerning forgiveness?
