These
are the 19 men who died fighting the Yarnell Fire. Every one of them died a
hero's death.
Take a moment to remember and pray for those who stride
boldly into hell on behalf of the rest of us.
May the Lord bless and keep
your souls, gentlemen, and may He watch over your families and friends in this
their time of grief.

New addition to the RTD blogroll
Because this.
I understand you might be scared and think military and paintball gear is really cool because you can blend in. Having some camo gear for hunting and maybe even recon is smart. Having a wardrobe of tactical camo and full black outfits that you plan to wear every day could be suicidal. You gotta love a guy who understands reality.
A big aspect of post apocalyptic survival is blending in and not making yourself a target. Camouflage is not always the best way to “blend in”. I urge you to keep that in mind when you are preparing your kit for after the apocalypse. It is really tempting to just get the most tactical oriented gear possible and try to be the terminator.
Post apocalyptic gear doesn’t make you the terminator. Being a robot that comes back from the future makes you the terminator. Don’t forget that post apocalyptic clothing is not about looking cool, it is about surviving. I just hope you realize that just like in modern society, you can dress however you want and people can and will judge you for it. Which leads us right into our next category of ridiculousness.

It's the other way around.
I've heard this same brainvomit over and over again, from people whom I had previously considered smart enough to tie their own shoes, come in out of the rain, and operate a toilet without sustaining severe personal injury.
"The Constitution is a failure!! It didn't protect us from the shit that's befallen us!! It's useless!! Waaah!!"
Well, of course it didn't protect us, you bucketheads. The Constitution is a piece of paper with some ink on it. It just hangs out there under glass in the Smithsonian, not doing a whole lot of anything. Counting on the Constitution itself to somehow 'protect' you is like trusting that your psycho ex will stop slashing your tires and setting fire to your pets because you got a Magical Restraining Order. Or that a disciple of evil bent on the massacre of innocent human beings will be deterred by a sign declaring "GUN FREE ZONE."
The Constitution is simply a list of laws. And as any thug will tell you(or demonstrate if you let your guard down), without enforcement, laws mean nothing.
The Constitution didn't fail US, you simpletons...WE failed IT.
Kerodin agrees.

The last word on that Yewman dumbass
I've refrained from commenting on this entire debacle, since I consider it a hazard to my mental health to contemplate such a vast amount of entirely stupid behavior. Fortunately, others are braver than I:

UPDATE: OK, this is likely the VERY last word on Ms. Dumbass, but prepare for lots of language that makes me look like an altar boy.
Heidi Yewman fails to take the necessary steps, and instead of proving that the law is too easy, proves only that she is an arrogant, reckless woman who is willing to endanger others to score a political point.Yeah, it's exactly like that. Ms. Yewman is only proving that the greatest danger to society is an idiot with an agenda. Please, ma'am, do the world a favor: Get rid of that weapon, but first, empty the magazine into your computer tower so that you're rendered incapable of foisting your ridiculous excuse for 'thought' upon the rest of us.
She should be ashamed of herself.
Finally, I do want to point out that even in this worst case scenario, an untrained, highly emotional, nervous wreck of a woman carried a loaded gun into a public space, and nobody got shot. There were no children harmed in the making of her post.

He gets it.
From a comment on this article(which you should read now):
Emphasis mine. That's exactly how it ought to be. If these tyrants don't care about the rule of law, then neither should we.
And I don't.
It is reaching the point where we have to start ignoring the law as a system. When we are slammed with "According to article so and so, of trade agreement this and that, you can't...", the only answer can be: we are not interested in your argument, we will do as we please. We have simply ceased to care about your rapacious laws.

This is what it's come to...and why.

Moreover, less charitable commentators may one day look upon what you have vainly and arrogantly loosed upon the world and wonder if the word "criminal" might not actually be excessive. To the extent humanity was headed towards something approaching a post-scarcity society finem respice would not wonder if you have collectively set that project back decades, or even centuries.RTWT. You cowards, egomaniacs and pathological altruists have brought this upon all of us. May Almighty God have mercy on your souls.
You see, for generations now you have collectively built and nurtured a massive, living, metabolizing creature. From the inanimate, intellectual detritus of "progressivism" and your unending and increasingly all-consuming narcissism you have kneaded it into a shapeless husk, pouring in rank mud like "Save the Planet," "Global Warming," "The American Dream of Home Ownership," "The War on Drugs", "Mothers Against Drunk Driving", "The War On Terror", "Speculators", "Too Big To Fail", "The 1%", and of course the essence and spark of its life, "…if it saves just one child." In conjunction with (but far more so than the other buckets of intellectual mud) "…if it saves just one child" has created the Golem of Government.
It was useful once, certainly, but it has since grown larger and more unwieldy as you slumbered. It is more potent than you now, and now it wields its own momentum with a self-directed animus of its own design, winding to and fro, unpredictable and twister-like, a destructive force that, despite what you thought, is not magically contained by the frontiers of the United States. Its power is extraterritorial and carves a wide swath across and through international law, international relations, international taxation, "force projection," and grips a stranglehold on the global financial system, which it greedily claims as its own and uses as hostage to bend the laws of other states to its will.

Snowden speaks
Edward Snowden is answering questions live today.
1) First, the US Government, just as they did with other whistleblowers, immediately and predictably destroyed any possibility of a fair trial at home, openly declaring me guilty of treason and that the disclosure of secret, criminal, and even unconstitutional acts is an unforgivable crime. That's not justice, and it would be foolish to volunteer yourself to it if you can do more good outside of prison than in it.Gee, how come we have to hear this from a British source? Where's the LSM on this? In fact, where have they been ALL THIS TIME...oh, right. NOW they jump on the bandwagon...
Second, let's be clear: I did not reveal any US operations against legitimate military targets. I pointed out where the NSA has hacked civilian infrastructure such as universities, hospitals, and private businesses because it is dangerous. These nakedly, aggressively criminal acts are wrong no matter the target. Not only that, when NSA makes a technical mistake during an exploitation operation, critical systems crash. Congress hasn't declared war on the countries - the majority of them are our allies - but without asking for public permission, NSA is running network operations against them that affect millions of innocent people. And for what? So we can have secret access to a computer in a country we're not even fighting? So we can potentially reveal a potential terrorist with the potential to kill fewer Americans than our own Police? No, the public needs to know the kinds of things a government does in its name, or the "consent of the governed" is meaningless.
2) All I can say right now is the US Government is not going to be able to cover this up by jailing or murdering me. Truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped.
