...the current Sheriff of Pima County will be known as "Sheriff Douchebag."  I apologize to my sensitive readers, but it fits.

Let's read an in-depth analysis by Mr. Rush Limbaugh.  Warning:  it's super-long, but it gets the point across. 

You see, folks, what the sheriff really means but can't say it or won't say it is he doesn't like liberalism being challenged. He doesn't like his point of view being challenged. He doesn't like the Democrats being challenged. He believes free speech, political speech, debate, arguments, elections should be left to him and his fellow liberals. This sheriff is so upset with the election results in November that he is obsessed with that rather than focusing on his very important job. This guy has got election hangover. He cannot get over it. Just as I told you earlier today: They can't shake what happened. This rejection that they faced and got last November was thorough and complete -- and they have not yet found a way to deal with it.

How dare we question the government? How dare we question the sheriff. How dare we citizens insist that our representatives represent us? How dare we insist that they follow the Constitution! In fact, how dare are we to even be engaged, informed, and passionate about this? Don't we know we're just supposed to shut up and let the smart people run this stuff and control it? We want the government to do its job, Sheriff. We want the government to secure the border, for example, which you apparently don't -- and it was you, Sheriff Dupnik, who attacked the Arizona government when it passed a law to do its job. So it was this sheriff who was attacking the government?

How dare we attack government! How dare we be angry at government! But this sheriff can call his own state, the capital, the cesspool of bigotry and racism because of what his government's gonna do. See, it's okay for Sheriff Dupnik, an approved liberal, to criticize the government. But not us. It was the liberals who attacked the Supreme Court when it upheld the Second Amendment in a gun case, when it upheld the First Amendment in the Citizens United case -- including the president at the State of the Union. It's okay for them to attack the government, it's okay for the president to attack the Supreme Court, but we can't. It's okay for the sheriff to attack his own government in Arizona.

But we can't.

She stands for smaller government and reduced intervention by unelected, appointed bureaucrats. She stood firmly against the stimulus package and called for President Obama to veto the bill. She stood against cuts to missile defense and called for the Senate to not verify the START treaty. She called for the President to turn away from his “enemy centric” foreign policy. She stood for oversight of the oil industry and federal responsibility in cleaning up the oil spill, rather than burdensome, job killing regulations and drilling moratoriums. She stood with Governor Brewer in a desire to secure the border.

Governor Palin has private sector experience as a journalist, fisherwoman, and small business owner in addition to nearly twenty years of political experience between the city council, mayor’s office, Oil and Gas Regulator, and Governor. President Obama has experience as a community organizer, state senator, and US Senator. By the time President Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004, Governor Palin already had three times as much executive experience as President Obama currently has. She has had to balance a budget as a small business owner and a governor, and she has understood the importance of handling both prudently and responsibility. President Obama established a deficit commission after he signed legislation that added more than a trillion dollars to the deficit–willfully oblivious to the effects of his lack of executive experience.

If you juxtapose President Obama’s experience, policies, and record against Governor Palin’s experience, stances and record, then I suppose Williams is right. Governor Palin cannot stand on the “intellectual” stage with Obama, and rightfully so. While President Obama’ s supposed intellect has made us a less secure nation in every sense of the word, Governor Palin’s gubernatorial record and stances would lead America to a more financially stable and a more secure nation.

Mr. Williams...will you ever learn to refrain from sticking your foot in your mouth?  You ought to be grateful that FOX is far more tolerant than your former employers at NPR.

Much has been written, by better bloggers than I, regarding the current atrocities committed by the TSA in the name of 'security.'  I'm going on a related tangent here.

Lately(yes, I listen to a lot of Talk Radio), I've heard too damned many 'Conservatives' simultaneously decry the actions of the TSA and defend the people committing them.  This is not only a logical disconnect, but a repudiation of some of the basic tenets of Conservative thought itself--namely, that there is an objective definition of right vs. wrong, and that we are all personally responsible for our actions.  So, how can anyone calling themselves a 'Conservative' come up with some mealymouth weaksauce crap about how it's "...not about the TSA employees, they're just doing their jobs...!"

Well, I didn't actually tell you, my three loyal readers, but I threw down in a most spirited manner with a bunch of liberals some months ago.

It was right when the press release was issued claiming that Government Motors had "paid back their bailout loan."  I knew that had to be crap.  Just a month or so previously, they'd posted a $4.something-billion loss.  How could they have repaid that bailout if they were losing money?

I did a bit of research, and discovered that they had, in fact, "paid off" that loan with...another government loan.  Essentially, the Feds dropped money from one hand to the other.  And this was spread far and wide on the Wilkow Majority and other Talk Radio shows.  But, predictably, the Libtard Brigade simply refused to believe it.  "Nuh-uh, Wraith, they paid it back!  They said!"

America's two-front political war

Why has voter participation been so dismal for so long?  Many theories have been advanced, but as far as I can see, it's because people haven't seen any appreciable difference between the two parties.  A choice between big-government Republicans or even-bigger-government Democrats hardly seems like a choice at all to the majority of the American people, who, for the most part, simply want the government to stick to its Constitutional duties, stop stealing their money and leave them alone.

Unfortunately, until the recent advent of the Tea Party movement, there was no real effort to reduce government.  Oh, sure, the Republicans would talk a good game.  They'd run the campaign circuit calling for personal responsibility, lower taxes, deregulating business and generally presenting themselves as the second coming of Ronald Reagan.  Then, once they found themselves ensconced in their own little D.C. fiefdoms, they would do nothing more than hold us down while the Dems took turns violating our rights and bank accounts. 

But now that the Dems have become truly and openly Marxist, America is waking up and demanding real, honest conservatism.  And this has the entrenched GOP machine, hereby referrred to as the "Cocktail Party," scared to death.  The situation is discussed here by the Great One himself, Mark Levin.



Folks, we know the Jackass is out to destroy America as we know it.  But so is the Elephant, just at a slower pace.  We must ally ourselves with the GOP for the moment, because they're our best alternative.  In so doing, we must pay attention to the primaries, and campaign and vote for real conservatives.  Just because someone has an (R) behind their name means nothing.  What they stand for and how they vote means everything.  If you take nothing else from this post, know this:  "Republican" != "conservative."

Here in Arizona, we wound up with McSame again. (barf)  It is too late for us, but you can learn from our mistake.  Examine your primaries, vote early, vote conservative!

Apologies from the management

I realize that posting has been light recently, and that most of said posts have been little more than references to Stuff You Should Check Out elsewhere on the intartubez. In my defense, work has been kicking my ass lately. My work weeks for the last month or two have basically had me living on a near-exclusive diet of coffee, Mountain Dew, Talk Radio and speedmetal. This should be resolved soon, either by a change in schedule or my upcoming psychotic breakdown, whichever happens first.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and compose the thoughts I've been having the past couple of days regarding the Left(you're stunned, I'm sure). They might even appear in some sort of coherent order, but I assure you this is most likely due to random chance.

Shut up, Eeyore.

I had occasion to listen to the Rusty Humphries show the other night. Like most Talk Radio hosts, I agree with much of what he says and disagree with a few points.

A caller from Arizona opined that Jim Deakin really made an impression on him during the debates for the GOP primary. Mr. Humphries responded, "I've never even heard of this guy. If you vote for him, you might as well just give the nomination to John McCain."

On HillBuzz, this is known as the Eeyore Mentality. "Don't bother voting for anyone who actually stands for something. They can't win. You're throwing your vote away. You'll just be getting the Other Guy elected."

ENOUGH!!! This is exactly the mentality that gives us DeceptiCons like Hayworth and McCain time and time again, and I, for one, am not going to fall for it any more.

First off, Mr. Humphries...you live in the People's Socialist Republic of Kalifornia. Since you're not eligible to vote in Arizona, I don't really give a damn whether or not you've 'heard of' Jim Deakin.

Secondly, although I will give the nod to your experience in political analysis, this is far from a typical situation. In November of 2010, all bets are off. The electorate is awake, aware and informed like never before in the history of this great nation. This is the year of upsets, dark-horse candidates and substance over spin. About the only thing you can take for granted this year is that the Democrats will be stomped like a Klansman in Compton.

My fellow Arizonans, it's very simple. If you want another DeceptiCon practicing politics as usual, just flip a coin for McCain or Hayworth. If you want a real live Constitutional Conservative to represent the Great State of Arizona, then tell the Eeyores where to stuff it.

Wow. Who knew?

I really hate to be the kind of dick who says, "I told you so."

Seriously. I hate it when it's said to me, and I shouldn't be doing it to others if that's the case. But some situations simply cry out for it, and this is one of them.

Why I'm voting for J.D. Hayworth

Because he's not John McCain.

I appreciate Senator McCain's sacrifice on behalf of our country, but I'm fed up with people seeing him as some untouchable saint because of it. "That was yesterday. What have you done for us today?"

I've heard rumors that JD might be somewhat of a DeceptiCon. Maybe so, but I simply cannot stomach voting for a known DeceptiCon flip-flopper any more. McCain's recent transformation from "Amnesty now!" to "Finish the damn fence!" has made up my mind.

Governor Brewer was a guest on Hannity today, and Sean commented that McCain was all about 'finishing the fence.' Governor Brewer replied, "Yes, I know." I kid you not, I could actually hear her rolling her eyes over the sat-radio. Senator McCain seems to be oblivious to the fact that we, as a state and a nation, are now paying attention. Politicians can't get away with sudden reversals of position the way they used to--too many of us are watching and taking notes.

Senator, I'm eternally grateful for you putting the Sarahcuda in our national spotlight, but with all due respect, your time is over. Please, just bow out gracefully and retire with a certain amount of dignity.
