Take a moment.

Think about all the comforts you enjoy...and then think of what it takes to bring them to you.

On this day, in 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald went down with all hands.  She carried iron ore, which may seem a boring commodity to some of you.  But without the people who earn their living with seemingly mundane things, a civilized first-world lifestyle would be impossible.

For some reason, no matter how many people rag on it, I've always loved this song:
